I have it as definitely helping. Now they can use the Full MLE, the $7M TPE and the BAE while staying under the tax line.

Edit: they clearly chose RoCo over the possibility of Gallo and I think that was the right call considering the rest of their roster.

Bummed Hood opted out, was hoping to use him as ballast in another trade. Wish him the best though, he is a good guy and I wont ever get mad at someone for betting on themselves.

When you look at the UFA SF market, you see the reason Hood opted out.

After Grant and Crowder, there is argument that the 3rd best UFA available is RHJ or Mo freakin' Harkless.

This move will look surprisingly smart in a few days.

While we're looking at the arms race out West, the East obviously deserves some focus. I think the Bucks have positioned themselves to match up favorably against all of their Eastern rivals with Jrue a versatile guard/wing defender and Giannis being... Giannis.

Do the Celtics, Raptors, maybe even Philly, risk falling behind here if they don't make some moves? And what would those moves be? (you could probably include the Heat here as well depending on how you feel about the sustainability of the run they just had).

And are we all now hearing from the same experts that Anthony Edwards goes #1? After the same experts agreed that Ball is the #1 prospect? After the same experts before that said Edwards was.

Screw this. #1 for #3 and Bridges. Add some 2nd rounders so no one calls it right.

I'm sticking with #3, 21 1st(top 5) for #1. And yes I realize that's a lot more than you are suggesting.

Nah man. I'm including #32.

Spoiler:
#32 is better than a late 1st. And a late 1st is better than a mid 1st. And a mid 1st is better than a late lotto pick. And a late lotto pick is better than a top 5 pick (this year). And a pick his year is better than some unknown pick later.

#1 for #3 Bridges #32 with Charlotte also getting back some fluff so this doesn't call it right.

Feel like a missed opportunity if somebody in the East doesn't end up with Harden.

This feels like such a mistake in this arms deal environment we find ourselves in. If I just watched Jrue return that I'm seeing if the Nuggets are ready to talk Porter Jr or if the Nets who have openly been saving assets for Beal are willing to take him for sure over waiting on maybe Harden or any number of other bidders.

Just get your haul and start over. Beal/Wall is just too much money and not enough impact for this to ever work.

This has to be Magic spin trying to drive up a Gordon price right? Covington just makes so much more sense for Portland and no way Orlando turns down 2 firsts for a guy every credible NBA reporter has been telling us for months has no market.

Yeah that would be completely nuts to turn that down.
