In what world is Bogdan as good of a shooter as Middleton?

In a fantasy world.

Khris is just this board's whipping boy for whatever reason.

They were trading him for Blake Griffin yesterday for **** sake.

Its the contract. Obviously. And unfortunately for Khris. He's a good player and and a good dude.

The thing that's annoying is that everyone here (i think) realizes the Bucks had to give him that contract or at least something very close to it, and they still hold it against him.

I have always disliked Middleton, maybe more so because he is put into a role to create and make things happen at the end of games and then choke it away.

Now with this trade, I like Middleton a lot as a third option. I hope we make him our spot up 3pt shooter, mid range shooter, catch and shoot player. That fade in the corner is killer. Just don't use him to create or go one-on-one anymore, use him for his strengths now.

So I guess the real question is..do we now have someone that can dribble a basketball the length of the court while under pressure without bouncing the ball off of their foot and/or leg?

Follow up question... if we in fact do have this player, will we still insist on having Khris initiate the offense in critical end of game situations?

Mids dribbling upcourt in traffic brings up images of a 3rd grader picking up his dribble baseline corner and getting triple teamed by 3 7th graders. Best could hope for is Mids getting fouled while flopping...

I hope he accepts his catch and shoot role... and becomes our rich mans version of Tony Snell...

Khris isn't going to have nearly as much of a role now, is he? He was obviously the clear #2 option behind Giannis and got tons of iso touches. He'll still be a scorer, but not sure they're going to need as much of that now. I think he has the skills to be a good off-ball SF, but he has never seemed to fully embrace that and was always more comfortable emulating Paul Pierce. Bogdan is a better passer and at least equal as a shooter. Jrue is a better ball-handler and passer. They will both be featured much more on offense than Wes, Bledsoe, Hill, or DDV.

Nope. And he'll probably be ok with it. Some nights he'll be the second most important player on the team. Some nights, third. Some nights, fourth. And some nights, fifth. Probably pretty equally distributed throughout the course of the season. Which is fine by me. Again, that token All-Star selection cost the Bucks so much freaking money. Oh well, go win a title and its all good.

I'm guilty of it even though I was on the "play Khris more!!!" wagon when he first cracked the rotation back in the day. Makes me feel bad because he was "my guy!" however many years ago. Its unfortunate what someone else's money will do to a random guy on the Internet's takes. But here we are.

Exactly. Any George Hill slander should immediately be followed with a long, hard look in the mirror.

One of my favorite players on the team but he kind of mailed it in for the bubble. Justifiable or not. Personally I understood him not wanting to be there, but he elected to go. I just thought maybe they decided to move on in part because of it. The rumors about locker room issues were unsubstantiated?

Thinking about this after some sleep. While understandable everyone wants to toss that MLE (or whatever dollars it actually is) at their favorite guy, this team probably is better off dividing it up among 2-3 key guys.

While our starting five looks great, this still isn’t 2010 Wade/Bosh/LeBron. We’re going to need that depth in the 6-9 roster spots. Real players versus a washed Korver or Marvin.

Yea we need at a minimum of two more guys who can play in the playoffs. 3 would be ideal. We have seen over the years playoff teams just get killed because they are a guy short. Fisher getting big minutes for OKC jumps out at me as a big example.

Kris had - by farrr - his best season last season - after signing the contract. What's happened with him is a good thing. It seems like people should be please with that, so the negative reactions are a bit confusing.

Wondering if the team feels like Frank Mason can contribute as a legitimate back-up, rather than just a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type 3rd stringer. 100% ok with sacrificing depth, but that just means it's all the more important to start finding contributors from your G-league/farm system. Giannis/Khris/Holiday is a great trio, but they're no Steph/KD/Klay, so you can't exactly get away with running a bunch of Pat McCaws, Ian Clarks, and Jordan Bells out there as your complimentary dudes.

I think Mason's a good guy to have on the team - but not someone I'd want to plan on being a rotation player in the playoffs.
