If Clippers end up using the non-tax payer MLE, that means one of Harrell or Morris is gone as they'll be hard capped. I'm honestly not sure thats better for them, unless they find a Lou trade that brings back a decent big

How credible is LegionHoopsRoss? If this is credible, what kind of deal would this look like? The Kings certainly won’t pay to trade Buddy as there is pretty much no incentive to do so. They are playing for the future now. Would it be something like Gary Harris and ‘21 First for Buddy?

This has to be Magic spin trying to drive up a Gordon price right? Covington just makes so much more sense for Portland and no way Orlando turns down 2 firsts for a guy every credible NBA reporter has been telling us for months has no market.

If the Magic are asking that much for Gordon he is going nowhere. Personally, I'd have Covington being the better fit and having significantly more value than Gordon, but I guess we'll have to wait and see what the price is if Gordon actually gets moved.

I also wonder if when it says similar assets it means Ariza and #16, but the Blazers substituted a lottery protected 1st for a smaller asset to upgrade to Covinginton. The word similar implies to me that the offers were not the same.

Not sure really, looks like he had some points before. I guess, if Denver would go for it and if Sacramento likes Harris next to Fox, I could see something like Harris, Barton for Hield, Bjelica with picks included from someone. Sacramento could go with Fox, Harris, Barton, Barnes, Bagley? Maybe even some S&T of Plumlee to SAC if they want him?

So this is really badly sourced, but supposedly a PR outlet has Barea returning to Dallas as a player instead of as a coach as Barea initially hinted the Mavs told him his option would be. His value in the room being key here. So just give me this one. Dallas needs a win after Giannis and Jrue both being swept off the board before they could make their play next year.

If that AG rumor is true, I am very glad Orlando managment is insanely high on AG.

I take RoCo 8 days of the week over him. AG has age over him, thats about it.

That expanded deal that you mentioned makes a little sense if the team can extract more picks. I doubt Monte does it if he only gets one pick though. It hurts the flexibility that he’s talked about. I love Bjelica next to Jokic for sure. Plumlee would be a no-go on the Kings.

I really like Harris+#22+’21 lotto-protected first for Buddy+#35+#52. It changes the Kings into a defensive team with Divincenzo and Harris, while getting draft assets. The Nuggets get a sharpshooter for the future.

This feels like such a mistake in this arms deal environment we find ourselves in. If I just watched Jrue return that I'm seeing if the Nuggets are ready to talk Porter Jr or if the Nets who have openly been saving assets for Beal are willing to take him for sure over waiting on maybe Harden or any number of other bidders.

Just get your haul and start over. Beal/Wall is just too much money and not enough impact for this to ever work.

Ughh... No.
The Jrue trade proved the opposite. An expiring, not top 10 player can garner a HAUL. Beal has 2+1 remaining on his deal... so why move him now?

Also, what "haul" are we supposed to take exactly? This draft has no real premier talent and next years draft order is a crap shoot. We can get a better/higher end package next summer should we choose.
Going into 2007/08, Paul Pierce was a beloved figure in Boston that clearly didnt want to leave, but was heading into his late 20's and just averaged 28 wins over the last two years. Summer, everything changed with the Garnett/Allen trades.

Point is, why should we be in a rush to trade one of the best players in the NBA, that loves the team & city, just hitting his prime, and is the quintessential leader on and off the court... All when he has 2+ years on his deal?

As to your haul, Porter is highly overrated and the Nets assets are mostly trash. Levert is a low efficiency chucker and isnt young (1 year younger than Beal).

If someone wants Beal, they will be offering a top 6 pick in 2021 plus additional assets just to be in the conversation... and the Wiz will wait accordingly.

I would be really happy with Harris and two firsts. No need to add Barton if it means we don't get an additional first.

Nevermind #17 and JJ for Gordon hope.

Add in Okogie? Include 33 for 45?

Spurs would love 15 and 17 for 11 and a 2nd I'd imagine. ?

"Similar" is choppy language. 16 not Ariza and a 2nd for all we really know.

It may be about to fall. General board just posted a tweet that Brooklyn and Houston have a verbal agreement.

Sourcing seems really weird. I am the first one with the story and the story is a bunch of people think it might be agreed to already?

https://frontofficesports.com/nets-rockets-have-verbal-agreement-on-harden-trade/

The Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets are nearing a deal to send James Harden to Brooklyn, according to multiple sources close to FOS.

The deal isn’t “official”, but sources say a deal is in place and the two teams have a “verbal agreement.” Harden declined a two-year, $103 million extension with the Rockets so he could force a trade to Brooklyn.

Same guy who broke KD and Kyrie since the Spring (not Ross and LegionHoops who claims he did), even went on WFAN and stood his ground despire being mocked by those guys. Done plenty of work with Netsdaily. Took a Twitter break and Netidaily break as he was disappointed he wasn't getting work despite his connections to the Nets and NBA and need then to focus on his present career (worked with kids with special needs). Super respected among ND followers and writers.

He was the first, with near 100% confidence to tell Net fans on Netsdaily and elsewhere about KD and Kyrie.
I've known the guy for years online - has 100% legit sources/connections.

I cant even imagine how many 1st rounders BRK surrenders. It has to be at least 5 with another 5 pick swaps, especially with the Jrue precedent.

#19, 2021, 2023, 2025, 2027 1st unp with all the swaps in the middle, and then whatever non Kyrie/KD players Houston wants.

Will be interesting if BKN is made to eat Gordon.

And unlikely but very interesting to me whether OKC gets looped in with the HOU 1sts.
