Gets us out of Harris contract, and slides Ben to the PF spot, freeing up the idea of Horford for a PG.

3 years younger, 1 less year on his deal, fits better by position...

You forgot the most important part - way worse at basketball...and I'm not even a Tobias fan.

At this point, its very likely Ben for Harden will go down. Like almost impossible for me.

LegionHoopsRoss never reported a thing in his life. There is no way an anonymous twitter account has access to information from all 30 teams, and with all that info he never managed to be the first one to report a deal. He just throws BS on twitter and is lucky to guess something obvious.

I'm interested to see what Morey thinks of the draft. There is a fair amount of quality shooting and role players with long careers in this draft, despite it being week at the top in terms of franchise guys. Using J Rich to grab someone in this draft, moving up or just keeping the picks you can add some nice pieces around the core. Not superstars, but guys who can start balancing the roster in different ways. If we don't see any of our picks move before tomorrow night, the first draft under Morey should be pretty interesting as well.

Not even necessarily saying I'd do it.

I agree. We should stick with trustworthy news sources like Shams, Woj, and Vin. If I don't hear it from them I don't buy it!

If prices are too crazy in the trade market, then he necessarily has to focus on the draft. We need to get 3 contributors to help replenish our asset base. This draft could be very important to our future.

I do think that's possible. I'm excited and nervous about this one.

This simmona jrich harris love embiid team is ateociously bad. Zero creators STILL and a bunch of stiffs on the perimeter

Disgusting

Seriously. I've been screaming perimeter defense/quickness/ball-handling for the last 4 years. Embiid, Simmons, and guards/wings. The team went in the complete opposite direction, we've seen it doesn't work, and you guys want...more of that?

I would be nervous if Brand was still running the show. It was his idea to pretend Ben was the primary point guard, extend Tobias who is a PF, and sign Horford to backup Embiid. He did essentially leave us with two PFs and two Cs.

Morey needs time to fix it. I’ll give him time, but get us at least one guy to give this offense some perimeter pressure.

Who's gonna be running it? Do we have anyone who can?

One minor move that was rumored is Josh for Patty Mills. Any legs to that one? Both are on expiring deals, I believe.

The Nets owner has contributed a lot to social/racial justice organizations but he also doesn't seem to be about that democratic Hong Kong movement life. Hard to pin down iirc, but I haven't really looked into it. Certainly harder to pin down than Harris.

I just saw this is Ric Bucher... moving on.

this again would be an awful move

Jrich was just essentially traded for butler, and was HIGHLY thought of around the league as one of the best contracts in the entire league and a break out candidate. Granted, we ruined all of that with our pathetic as hell roster construction, but he is worth WAY more than patty mills, and that deal would be horrific

Can't be too bad, you didn't even type 'horrific' in caps.
