Saw this today. How is Tony Snell just 29 and Avery Bradley just 30?

This is a very sad list. And half of these guys won't even be FAs because they opt in. Trade season better be good because the interesting part of free agency will be over within a couple of minutes probably.

ChettheJet wrote:Kornet is almost free and if you end up with Porter backing up Markkanen which one do you bet gets hurt first or for longer? You have 2 centers coming back from injuries Kornet provides a buffer before you get to Felicio. Are you really imagining some big difference maker signing for $2.2M ?
More than likely free agency is beyond the Bulls this year. There would have to be some kind of perfect situation present itself.
Let's say WASH sees their situation with Wall and Beal being untradable right now and doesn't want to commit to Bertans for 4 years. Their plan becomes to draft #9 and see if they can trade Wall or Beal after this season or maybe move them to S&T a FA. Could they see Thad Young as a one year stopgap for them, with his second year buyout so they take him in a S&T with Bertans.
It's not all equal value it can be how giving up a player sets up the finances going forward.
The same might apply to SAC with Bogdan, they sure can't believe that #12 is going to electrify their playoff chances as a rookie. So they take a step sideways chanage when they have to find a FA.
With the revenue, cap number and tax number not moving but teams with those big money contracts growing unchecked, it might be a different world after this season.
I'm confused by this. As currently constructed, the Bulls have WCJr and Gafford at Center before getting to Kornett, and Markkanen and Thad Young at the 4. Felicio, if not waived or traded (as cap room) So we're worried about the #3/4 center or the #3/4 power forward? As other's mentioned, you can play Hutch as a small-ball 4, and you can play one of the 4s as a 5.
But more importantly, beyond Kornett, and assuming no Wiseman, you still have a Bulls 2nd rounder which could be used on a center, and plenty of FA bigs that may end up taking the minimum (or, at least, no more than Kornett) rather than going to another league. Noel, O'Quinn, Len, Tyler Zeller, Vonleh, Giles, John Henson (Team Option at too much money), Thon Maker (RFA), Skal Labissier (RFA), Jakob Poeltl (RFA), Damian Jones (RFA), Justin Patton (RFA), Tacko Fall (RFA!!!! - get me some Tacko!). And probably many more players - just not listed on spotrac any more.

Def wouldn't mind Robin lopez back. He got our guards great space setting picks. He was also good inside scoring. If we can get him for MLE type money I def do it.

Yeah, this team needs another role playing center.
Then we can run the all center lineup.
pg - Lopez
sg - Kornet
sf - WCJ
pf - Felicio
c - Gafford

I'd love RoLo back, but we have too many C's. Only way it makes sense is if the are looking at trading WC for someone other than Wiseman.

They never should have let him go last year, huge mistake.

It was probably a mutual thing. Robin just went down I-94 to play with his brother on a contender, as opposed to staying in this dumpster fire

I mean, I love him too but "huge mistake" seems like an overstatement.

RoLo has evolved.
In his current, perimeter shooting form, I'd MUCH rather have Lopez than Wendell Carter. Back when RoLo just camped in the paint, he wasn't a good fit for the future.

Sure, but he's 33 and we're basically on ground zero of our rebuild. I don't think losing him was a big mistake Genuinely loved having him here though.

I've seen posts indicating that AK is looking to bring in a vet PG. Does anyone know where this is coming from? Did AK says something to this affect?

I might be interested in taking a flyer on Rodney Hood--coming off achilles injury. Could be an affordable reclamation project.

But the guy is a little too small and injury prone for me. Even MJ didn;t extend him and that was his best lottery pick ever,
If we're gonna give a PG 34 34+mil plus - I'd rather have former MVP Westbrook.
Otto Porter and Felatio for Kemba I'd listen, but
just put the ball in Coby Whites hands and GTFO the way is how we should roll this year.

Didn't Kemba not want to stay in Charlotte? He was UFA, Jordan didn't really have a say in the matter.
That said, I otherwise agree with everything you're saying here.
I'd rather keep the #4 pick and sign DJ Augustin or Rajon Rondo to a short term deal than trade for Kemba.
