I may be wrong but I'll say it again, is anyone falling over themselves for a taller Lonzo Ball? Useful player? Hell yes! Transformational player? If he fills out, learns to shoot, and learns to play defense then slight possibility.

John Hollinger, a former NBA GM said if Lonzo hit the free agent market, he would command 20 million a season.

Lamelo is projected to be better than Lonzo.
Lonzo is an exceptional defender to go along with his playmaking and improving shot, LaMelo doesn't have nearly the defensive instincts or desire to play defense that Lonzo does.

Lonzo was a poor defender in high school and college and didn’t commit to defense until he became a pro.

Lamelo's instincts are there. He averaged 2 steals per game last season per 40. Now he will have to come to the NBA and commit to defense where they do lot more switching. He will be fine.

I was definitely one of those guy's that followed Chino Hills on YouTube and eventually tuned into UCLA games to see how Ball would do in college..Lonzo did tend to get beat and "gave up" at times when he was hit with a screen, it's actually amazing to me that Ball is a positive defender in the NBA...however, one of his strengths in college was his anticipation for steals and as a chasedown block guy.

With that being said, I've never seen another high school 5 star prospect have a lack of respect for defense as much as Lamelo Ball...obviously that was high school, so hopefully he got rid of that habit, but he was also the worst defender statistically in the NBL as well

At the 1:05 minute mark, ESPN displays a projection table from its analytics department.

Edwards: All-star (41%), Starter (38%), Bench (16%)
Ball: All-star (28%), Starter (48%), Bench (18%)
Wiseman: All-star (26%), Starter (48%), Bench (19%)

Same, when your teammates and the coaches both say he's the best player on the floor, that means its fact.

When the floor is not the NBA, but a short stay in high school, Lithuanian league (no one said it there, his stay there were a reality tv circus, not basketball), or backwater low level aussie league, even if it was adult players.

No it does not make it fact in the context of NBA.

And FYI I dont mind us picking him. Just bit hyperbolic to say the above.

1:55 is the question we've all been debating and Rosas said that KAT's ability to play inside and out would make it possible to have a big that rim protects and runs (not that having KAT makes Wiseman a bad fit).

Dream scenario would be to draft Lamelo at 1.

Trade 17 and Culver to get back in the top 10

Draft Onyeka Okongwu

Lamelo
DLo
Layman
Okongwu
KAT

Wow! That would be something!

This thread is basically UnFadeable21 just re-posting all the stuff he's already posted in other threads.

A re-post diary if you will.

(or maybe manifesto depending on his Ball obsession.)

It's quite ridiculous how he posts the exact same threads on Wolves Chat - MN Rube Chat. Back and forth he goes.

Yes that is my dream, to get Lamelo and a defensive 4 next to Towns. Okongwu, Gordon, healthy Isaac. Our team would be legit!

That's why him playing pro against grown men last year only helped his game even more to get use to the physicality of the NBA like for Luka to adjust easy.

Andrew Bogut played against Lamelo and said he will be an elite play maker day 1 in the NBA.

Luka played against grown men in an elite league and was an MVP caliber player. I don't think LaMelo's league or play were anywhere near Luka's.

Here we go again with the infallible NBA genius quotes. Rollout the confident takes of every draft list and follow it up with the average and bust list.

That's pretty good. Everything but the part about drafting Lamelo.

Same. Different players obviously, but I would view Edwards over Ball similar to taking Flynn over Curry. Take the prodigy over the athlete.

Big Layman fan I see.

Lamelo and Okongwu are my two favorite players in the draft, so wouldn't mind this at all.
