Rajon Rondo Could Receive Two-Year, $15M Offer From Hawks, MLE From Clippers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Nov 17, 2020 7:19 pm

Rajon Rondo is expected to receive an offer of $15 million over two years from the Atlanta Hawks, but he is focused on joining the Los Angeles Clippers.

Rondo could sign for the mid-level with the Clippers.

Rondo declined his $2.62 million option with the Los Angeles Lakers, which was the veteran's minimum.

During the Lakers' title run, Rondo was a key rotation player and his value on the open market has begun to reflect those contributions.

He should go to a winning and playoff bound team since that’s the type of atmosphere he thrives in. I don’t think hawks are playoffs bound just yet so it may end up being a complete s#itshow disaster like it was in Dallas lol

While I would like him to stay with the Lakers, if he goes to the Hawks or another team it will be because of money. He won another championship and is on the last years of his career. He didn't get the 200 million some players are getting these days, so 10-15 million will be very nice for him and his family.

He wants to start his own menu line .... “Raging Cajon Rondo Wings”

Magic City is reason enough to move ....

Hawks could be a 7th or 8th seed next season. I like the Hawks line up better then the Magic. Add Rondo, KCP and another piece with FA...they'll be ok.

Im sure he wants one final pay day over 1 to 2 years before playing out latter years of his career on VM contracts for contending teams. Seems like Clippers can offer him both.

This sound like his agent making noise to get a higher salary.

Play with Clipper for the Tax payers MLE? Highly unlikely with that mess

I would just work something out with the Lakers.

The Bucks and Nuggets are the only two teams other than the Lakers, he would thrive with.
