Feels like John Collins is coming to Boston, which is actually a great move by them.

Why does everyone always want out of Boston? Genuine question, not a troll.

Why would the Hawks give up John Collins when they can sign Hayward outright with cap?

This is a powerplay by Gordon to force Ainge to ship him where he wants (Indiana?) by threatening to walk to Atlanta.

Celts and Hawks should be good trade partners.

Hawks can give Capela or Dedmon for Hayward

Why would atlanta give assets back and also have the opportunity to lose Hayward in next year's FA when they can just sign Hayward with capspace this offseason. All they need to do is say to Hayward to decline his player option and they will sign him to an equivalent amount.

Hawks:
Surplus of C
Assurance of Hayward
They sound like they are willing to overpay to make the playoffs

Hawks is one of those franchise where they’d ask nothing more than making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Having Hayward will be a dream come true for them.

Having both Capela and Dedmon is hardly a surplus. They will still have Hayward in both scenario. Why trade one of your centers to Boston when you can trade them to other teams and still have Hayward in the end.

If Hayward gets his choice, he’s going to Indy. And Dedmon isn’t considered an asset any longer. I imagine Boston is trying to get #6 from ATL; something like Hayward, 14, and 30 for Dedmon and 6. Whereas ATL, if they’re smart, is just offering Dedmon (aka nothing) to get Boston out of the tax.

EDIT: Knowing Danny Boy’s history, he’s actually probably asking for a player too. Collins and 6 for Hayward and 14 would be the kind of lopsided trade he would ask for.

Haven’t seen anything about Boston getting an actual player or pick back. They want to do it so they can get a massive trade exception as far as I can tell.

Didn’t know ATL could absorb Hayward’s entire salary without giving anything back.Thought they had in the mid 20’s as far as cap room was concerned.

Anyway, sounds like Celts are also active. Personally I’d just focus on some cheap C. One guy I would look at is Steven Adams, but Presti may still be delusional after what he got from CP3.

I wouldn’t over spend that much. I kind of like the dynamic of their team. They just need to be able to play big and small.

This makes sense - I’ll believe the warriors take Wiseman with a top 2 pick when I see it.

I feel like I saw that the Warriors love Deni Avdija. Might be why they’re willing to pick up an asset in a trade back.

I guess they're pushing in on Ball? Wonder if that puts LaVine more in play (not that I'm a big LaVine guy).

Feels like a dream trade for the Warriors. Slide back and grab whoever they think the top forward in the draft is... Could maybe slide back even more and pick up some future assets.
