Seriously, any news on Horford front? Can we accomodate him elsewhere without bleeding too many assets?
Any rumors out there?

This thread is very dramatic to not have anything happen so far on the sixers front lol

What's the reaction if we leave the day with only 'future assets'?? Very unlikely, but I think some people feel so deflated without any trades the last two days - which we all probably felt was 'very unlikely' as well.

I feel like today/tonight will be chaotic with tons of moves. Relatively weak draft, new season schedule and a quick turnaround may stoke the fire.

I personally would rather see us move up in the draft. People are saying it's a weak draft but I'd love to see us get Tyrese Haliburton or Cole Cole Anthony. I'm also not upset about just standing pat and leaning on team chemistry, familiarity, and cohesion. We've had so much turnover over the last three years and it hasn't really worked out. It may be time to just see what THIS team can do.

Hayes is my target for a move up. If he gets to the Suns pick, they really don't need him as much anymore....so yeah
do it morey

I'm curious fellas.

If these two hypotetical trades are going to materialize in the next 2 months, which one do you will pick up?

a) Harden for Simmons and all picks/swaps possible until 2027 (somehow the Houston current request)
b) JRich and 3 future picks and 2 swaps (somehow the Jrue package)

Me the second.

NOLA got the Jrue package because of MIL situation with Giannis possibility of leaving. No other team will give a similar package for Jrich.

According to John Clark the Sixers did try to trade for Jrue which probably in part caused the Bucks to have to go up to that ridiculous offer.

The first one.

Fans always overrate the picks. Im not saying they are not valuable. But those picks aren’t that valuable, and based on our experience we should have learned that lesson by now.

Another thing is.. do you think we’ll be a better team with those picks and Ben than having this team with Harden replacing Ben? I dont think so. The goal is to win a championship, not to win gen board’s “most promising team in the league” thread.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

The sense of my question was:

is it better Simmons and a lot for Harden or a lot for the couple Simmons-Beal?

KOC was saying the Celtics offered Hayward and their 3 1sts for him. The Hawks were after him too.

Definitely seems to be a seller's market right now. Wonder if we could actually get something good for Josh. He's basically like a Holiday brother (in the same way Mike Scott is the 3rd Morris twin).

As in Beal-Simmons-Embiid? Or trading Embiid for Beal in that scenario?

I'd take those 2 over Harden, though Harden likely increases your immediate chances at a title.

That said, I think there will be a ton of Beal suitors out there, and I don't imagine the Sixers will have the high bid. With Harden, the market isn't quite as large.

You are not getting Beal for some late firsts. The Wizards will want Simmons.

What if john wall comes back less athletic but with improved jumpshot and range? Do we become interested at the trade deadline?

Hayward looking at ATL and thinking that he wouldn't be a core part of a winning team is really something. That's a team on the verge of exploding in the east with a potential MVP talent in Trae Young. If anything, it would be a perfect situation to rebuild his value while playing for a competitor, but I guess he doesn't see that.

Heyward for horford may be our only legit option tbh

I think we have to do it. It makes for a way better fit.. also gets us off his deal 2 years sooner than horfords if we decide to let him walk(unless he is demanding a new deal)
