This offseason feels a lot like the 2017 offseason in that the Wolves are again well positioned to take a significant step forward as a franchise. Hopefully, Rosas turns out to be considerably more competent than Thibs was at assembling a winning roster.

Things working against us ... no bonified #1 and Beasley issues. Things working for us ... #1 and lots of flexibility. We have many needs, but we have many options.

I'm beginning to think Anthony Edwards is probably the right fit, but that he could also be had at #3. I'd trade #1 to Charlotte for #3 and Miles Bridges and an unprotected 2022 FRP.

GS might trade out of #2 for someone who wants Edwards, but it's just as likely that someone will want Ball or that GS will want to stay put and pick a guy.

Getting Anthony Edwards and Miles Bridges for essentially nothing would be an awesome start to draft night. We fill 2 big needs: a partner for D'Lo in the backcourt and a guy who can play the small ball four (that we tried to get Covington to do).

We still have #17, #33, James Johnson and Jarett Culver as assets to make some other moves.

You aren’t getting an unprotected first and Miles Bridges, that isn’t realistic. Minnesota is likely being offered Miles Bridges or a lightly protected first.

"To be honest" he says, "I can't watch basketball".

Are we really going to draft a guy #1 who doesn't have a passion for basketball? This sounds like Wiggins all over again. Wanted to like him but no f'ing way.

You really don't know in what context he said that in. Maybe he was mad for not being able to play. He's a sensitive kid. Get him around a professional family like his teammates to guide him and he'll be a monster. You can't teach what he has. He's a freak. No one is perfect in this draft so I'll take my chances with him.

I don't buy the Wiggins comp not one bit. Two very different people.

Here's another ridiculous quote:

So when after that did he get into basketball? "I'm still not really into it" he says. " I love basketball, yeah. It's what I do".

He is a walking contradiction. He says one thing and then the very next sentence he says the opposite. Sounds to me like he's saying what he actually believes, and then remembers the PR coaching he's received.

Anthony Edwards absolutely could be a monster, but I am genuinely a bit concerned about him. LaMelo is an incredibly hard worker, so that can at least be banked on. Anthony Edwards’ quotes and showing up out-of-shape to his agent’s showcase makes me nervous, from an outsider’s perspective.

Just to be clear, him showing up incredibly out-of-shape is a much greater concern, to me.

I come away with two thoughts… Furst, it seems we have people trying to build out their own narrative, And second… Trying to make mountains out of ant hills. We need to cut the crap on these 18 and 19-year-old kids… I highly doubt any of them can balance their own checkbook let alone speak perfectly on record

Okongwu will likely miss training camp and start of the season due to foot injury.

Easy No on Edwards after his comments. When he said it to not get drafted by us, it worked. Can't take that risk. Ball is the only top 3 pick that wants to play for us. So take him and call it a day or trade the hell out of this trainwreck of a draft.

I’m team ball. But damned if coming away with a young prospect from Charlotte, #3 gamble on Edwards and a future pick isn’t enticing either

What are you talking about. Edwards has been all about playing for us and being drafted #1.

If Rosa's cannot trade down and it's not interested in Edward's, Wiseman or Ball, then he has to pick Haliburton or the one that he is interested in with the first pick, it's a nonsense to pick only for the internet proyections.

We will select whoever is left over after the Warriors pick #1. :D

Ha, you are still holding on to your dream I see! Larry Riley(Warriors FO) was interviewed on a local draft show last night and said that 2 players have separated themselves from the pack and that they like 4 other players in the next tier. That is either posturing to trade down with the pick or actually true and they will take one of the players they like at 2. I still think the Warriors trade down or out of the draft.

It shows great weakness when a team says there are two players at the top a team likes equally and will just take whoever's left. Everybody knows you want Wiseman. To act any differently is just dishonest. You want him pony up. All I'm asking for is your next years FRP which will be #30 of course. :D. That or Eric Paschall.

If GSW hangs on to #2 and makes the pick, who does your gut tell you will be the pick? Wiseman doesn't really fit your "timeline" but he sure does seem to be the perfect fit for your current roster.

That's strange timing for a trade like this when the NYK have no idea who will be there at #23 when they are on the clock. My guess would be they acquired the higher pick to consolidate in an effort to move up in the Draft or sweeten a trade offer for an established player.

Interesting that this nugget happens to come out the day of the draft.
