I have this as a bargain for the Bulls. Not sure why people all of sudden believe WCJ is some great piece. Oh I do know, its because its the Warriors. I still remember this board freaking out over someone selling them a pick so they could draft Jordan Bell. Turned out to not be the end of the world after all.

The flak I took trying to explain why Jordan Bell was a deeply flawed prospect. You aren’t alone in remembering.

My bottom price has been #1 for #4 and Lauri Markkanan throughout this off-season.

I agree that Lauri is a better prospect, but even that seems a bit light given that they would have to pay Lauri next year.

I guess if their favorite prospect is actually none of the presumed top 3 then it's okay. And I would agree Lauri has a ceiling that WCS doesn't figure to have. I just don't know that I love Lauri/Towns as a pairing.

I'd be insisting on a future lightly protected pick if Charlotte or Chicago want to move up.

The offer was to the Warriors, not the Wolves! Not sure Lauri is what the Warriors need at this point either though.

Lauri fits into what they do well, and allows the Warriors to play that "Death Lineup" with Draymond at the 5, Lauri at the 4... that would be nasty.

Still an intriguing prospect, who knows where his head is at though. Always seemed to take basketball as a life's accent or job more so than defining him.

Shame when bad news hits prospects like this, and my thoughts go out to him.

Spoiler:
That said, could be amazing news for the Celtics. Could possibly now get him at 14, and if he misses even the whole season who cares, it is a long term play.

Also could be a planted story to try to get him to slide into the early teens

Oh it absolutely is.

He’s Steven Adams’ age. Prospect feels... incorrect

I'm aware. :D Dome started talking about what he would want for #1 so was discussing that with him.

Yeah he's 27 now I just checked, thought he was younger than that, hard to keep time as an old man myself. Well guy who has a couple more years to figure it out then over prospect.

He's clearly working with CHA so we can hold the 3 hostage for the Ball sweepstakes and then trade down and get him.

Is it just me or does it feel like there are more teams reported to be willing to move up than there should be considering how weak the top of this class is? As recent as 10 days ago it felt like all I was hearing about was how the top teams are trying to move down and can't find deals. Guessing there's an awful lot of smoke and we don't see any of the top four picks get dealt.

I'm not so sure. Hard to scout with zoom, each team probably has a guy they believe in in certain ranges and have no clue where other peoples minds are at.

Could be some wheeling and dealing man.

I would imagine they would Love to get a Wiseman or Okongwu on a rookie contract with Briwn and Tatum hitting their new deals.

Per Cleveland.com @ChrisFedor the Knicks have been in constant contact trying to trade up to #5 with Cavs to select Obi Toppin.

Cited they could offer #8, #23 + Knox or Robinson for #5 to select Toppin. Also noted that Okoro is undercover the Cavs target.

I guess this all depends on if Okoro would still be there at #8.

I think the only team you would have to worry about selecting Okoro before 8 is if Atlanta keeps their pick at 6. He's not going top three and I don't think I've seen anything about him being targeted by Chicago or Detroit.

Sounds like a good offer, even more if it involves Robinson

If I’m Cleveland, I’m taking this trade ASAP. Toppin has some real potential on the offensive end, but looks like one of the worst defenders in recent memory. This is a rather deep draft for contributors and Cleveland could get two really good ones if they did this. Getting Robinson would be an absolute haul along with the picks. Knox is such a meh prospect to me though.
