The more I try and figure out what Utah was thinking making this deal now, the more I think it's economics, and specifically the unwillingness to pay the $3M it'd cost for a good 2nd rounder like #38.

Instead of paying $3M, they paid 4 draft slots in the first round.

This is great for the Knicks. I'd hate every bit of this in reverse.

It could just be that they only had one pick and they wanted two. We already had a higher pick. The Jazz always have some weird guy late that they want and he works out great for them.

I doubt they trade Mitch. Just from a PR perspective it would be a disaster I think. If anything it's going to be them trying to sell one of the top teams on Frank IMO
