I will be more than happy if we take Ball. Marvin Gaye made a song many years ago called, LOVE TO BALL. If we draft BALL I will post it. It's a romantic song but it's all I got lmao.

That trade makes no sense for Chicago. They want Ball. Wiseman is a smokescreen.

Yeah, if Wiseman/Ball go 1/2 then I'm trying to trade back and if not just taking Okongwu.

No, what you did was come to this board and tell us what was going to happen and what was not going to happen.

That's not a conversation, that's an outside poster going to another teams board and dictating terms of what would benefit their team the most.

And you get defensive when all I wanted was a conversation on the topic of trading with the Wolves. Did God really need to be summoned for this? I understand all of the topics, but you also don't have the inside information on what your management is wanting to help solidify its roster. I agree that waiting to see what is available is a fine approach, but all depends on how much appetite there is to add another guard to your mix. Eat some Cheerios and relax. Have a good day and be excited for draft day!

I am not being defensive, just speaking facts.

1. It is clear you want to trade pick
2. It is more expensive for us in long run
3. You want 2 of our best 4 assets (PJ, Washington, 3, and next year first)

1. We want to trade pick if the right package is offered.
2. It is by 1.6 million, correct.
3. Yes, giving up 2 good assets would be expected. Dropping 2 spots for you to throw in Malik Monk? What? Also, I thought PJ and Washington were the same guy?

If giving up two assets is what you expect then I say the Hornets pass. Nobody wants the 1 pick because there is not a clear cut right choice. If we stay at three and draft who is left it is out best case scenario. Our decision is made for us and we are fine with any of the three guys. We cannot get pick because of position and need an upgrade in talent, which is what our management has said all along. I would take PJ over any of the three guys who we can draft at #1 this year. I am not sure Edwards is any better off than Monk is right now either and Ball may never fix his jumper and has massive question marks. There just isn't any incentive to give up something to move up. We are actually taking on more money for no good reason and would have to pay assets to do it.

I came on this board to surface the sensitive sallys, and it appears I got two of them now to come forward. Mission accomplished.

Checkout a follow-up response where I said we are starting to get somewhere (we all play GM on these boards). I dont know what the Wolves will do, but I know for a fact that every team in the league would laugh at a #3 and Monk to move up. That is what I was responding to.

Yep, that's why I'm watching Ball hype videos. I bet he's the pick.

1. Right... Well we want to trade back too if somebody is offering us 8, Barrett and a future first... duh doesn't mean it's happening
2. It's not the same year to year.. by the time they are in their 4 year it will be almost 3 million so that adds up pretty fast over the 4 year period
3. Warriors are dropping two spots to a much lower tier of player and they are going to do it for it less than you are asking for. Probably why Chicago is trying to trade with them vs what you your front office is requesting.

I am not trying to be harsh, but if we had number 1 pick I probably wouldn't be psyched about taking anyone either. Honestly if we were switched I am sure this board would be trying to trade down- which kind of defeats the purpose of trading up.

You just identified your reason for coming to our board and posting - baiting.

Enjoy your ban for trolling.

It makes sense for us to say we are going to take Wiseman and now Ball. Doing so lets us see whats in the discussion so we can prepare ourselves for a trade

If Minnesota is targeting Edwards - as it seems - and they think they can get him even after moving back, then they should just do it. They're not gonna get a Luka/Fultz type offer in this draft, but even a package with a later pick or young player is better than nothing. Plus they'd save a little money on the rookie deal.

My gut says they stay put, though.

Minnesota is the same team that took Culver in an attempt to force a trade with the Cavs over Garland. They got stuck with a guy they didn't want who's playing terribly and the Cavs are more than okay with moving from Sexton as a result too

They're probably scared of repeating the mistake again.

Several players I really really like, Ball. Edwards, Haliburton, OO, and a few more, but I am all in on wanting Wiseman. I am willing to trade up as long as Washington, Graham, or future unprotected 1st isn't included.
