Ouch. Big man and foot injuries don't usually end well.
Interesting that this nugget happens to come out the day of the draft.
Agreed. Did it just happen or is it just a trick to get him to slide in the draft. I'm very afraid whenever I hear about the bigger players and foot injuries.

Everybody knows you want Wiseman. To act any differently is just dishonest. You want him pony up. All I'm asking for is your next years FRP which will be #30 of course.. That or Eric Paschall.
You're like a dog with a bone. We will soon find out what is smoke and what is real.
If GSW hangs on to #2 and makes the pick, who does your gut tell you will be the pick? Wiseman doesn't really fit your "timeline" but he sure does seem to be the perfect fit for your current roster.
most of the talk has them looking at Wiseman at 2 which makes me think that is not who they want. The Warriors have always done the center position by committee and I am not sure they will use a top 2 pick on one. They had a second meeting with Edwards and he could be who they are targeting if they keep the pick. My hope is a trade down with Chi and they pick Okoro at 4.

small extract from ESPN article on Edwards
"To be honest," he says, "I can't watch basketball."
He retells the story about the first time he dunked and how it signaled to him that he was talented and could accomplish something he might not have been able to in football, which was his first love. So that's the direction he went, simple as that, hanging up his cleats. "That's all I needed to see," he says.
So when after that did he get into basketball?
"I'm still not really into it," he says. "I love basketball, yeah. It's what I do."
He's not entirely convincing. He says if he were drafted by the NFL tomorrow, he'd let basketball go. "Because you can do anything on the field," he explains. "You can spike the ball. You can dance. You can do all type of disrespectful stuff." In the NBA, he says, "you can't do any of that. You'll get fined."

Never seen anyone wanna tank their stock this badly. Or he is just that blissfully clueless he thinks its normal to say that as a professional top prospect of basketball.
Either way, stay away if we can avoid it please.

In this week I've read different articles explaining minnesota is leaning towards ball, Edwards, wiseman, or trading the pick.
Wow so much insider knowledge!

Nothing more appealing to me as a fan when a guy prefers to play in a league that allows you to be "disrepectful".
Apparently in today's world, if you are ultra-competitive and compete at the highest level while displaying a sense of sportsmanship, you're considered soft. We deserve Anthony "Revenge of the Nerds" Edwards because he just doesn't get it. I have NEVER disliked two (2) NBA prospects less than Ball and Edwards...if you're going to ignore Wiseman's talent, trade the **** back or out of this **** show.

Edwards appears to be a really good kid but damn, he seems so immature and just doesn’t get it. You’d think with as many people as he has around him, he’d be better coaches to at least say the right things.

Nothing would please me more than to see LaSmello join Wiggins in GSW but their organization is too well run to make that mistake. Can you just imagine Ball, Curry and Wiggins trying to hold down their perimeter defense? The only team that would give up more PPG would be the Wolves after we draft Revenge of the Nerds.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Prospects: Thread III
So much of the mocking Edwards at No. 1 seems to be centered around the idea of fit. Everyone talks about this being a "fit" draft. But Rosas has maintained all along that he's not necessarily drafting for fit. I think a lot of people expect that it's just talk, but I'm not sure it is. I think whoever is picked, this front office truly believes it's the best player, or at minimum the player that gives them the best chance of making the trade they want.

So would that include somebody like Shaq? Do people believe that if Wiseman is David Robinson, that still doesn’t justify being the first pick?

We have ourselves a winner right here, young man. Of course, we're all hoping that Rosas and Gupta are much too smart to make this opinion valid.

We better not skip on Ball because it hurts DLo’s feelings
I don’t know who goes first. Schmitz still thinks Ball is best, but made good case for Edwards. Maybe draft Wiseman, and trade down?
