I'm convinced you're on the payroll. How about using it to trade up? Or in a deal as a filler? You know, something that makes the team better today and not kicking the can down the road another 2-6 years?

Ps. Kuzma is nothing special

2 picks when both these bums will be fired isn’t necessarily assets.

PS Kuzma is better than 7-10 on our bench.

Here's hoping the Bucks suck in 6 years time! Could be a great asset to get us the next JRue!

How is this not looked at any way but smart?
We'll have 2 rookies for sure this year. We can always get back in if there is someone we are dying for.

Great trade, i ll go to bed earlier than planned

Good collection of assets, we have no space for 2nd rounder anyway

Good job as usual

A second from Indiana in either 2022, 2023 or 2024 and then Milwaukee's second in 2026.

I wonder what are the protections of these picks... Top55 maybe?

2021 second round draft pick to Brooklyn
Indiana's 2nd round pick to Brooklyn protected for selections 45-60 in 2021 and 45-60 in 2022 and unprotected in 2023

We get theirs pick one year later, so expect to get it in 2024

Building for the future, we are clearly following Thunder's model.

Obviously i meant specifically this move, but look at our roster, we have a lot of young prospects and propably 2 more incoming in Chuma and 2020 frp.
Weltman didnt inherit any assets 3 years ago and now we have a nice young core. You act like we had Paul George, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis to trade.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

This way our FO can also go to bed after #15 pick and check Sportscenter tomorrow for the news.

This young core is far from nice. It’s nothing more than blind hype. Isaac is injury prone, Fultz is a glorified Payton, Bamba is well underwhelming & Chuma is a rookie off an ACL.

A nice young core is Memphis, Pelicans, Atlanta..

Considering our FO track record, even a Top6 pick has low chances of contributing.

They inherited a team that was already good enough to make the playoffs just with a coaching change.

Out of the 4 prospects they've brought in over the 3 seasons they've been here those players have had 1 complete season between them.

You act like they drafted a core or Davis, George and Westbrook. All they did was flip a 2nd Rd pick. It's not worthy of praise or hate.

isnt that was 2nd round picks are for? most dont make a team at all. So who cares if you have more than 1 rookie coming in? you think chances are better with a pick in the late 50's and 48-55ish than the 45th?

The Magic punting on the 2nd round pick is just an annual event.

This team is so predictable. Draft RJ Hampton at #15. Sit him for the season. Run it back with Fultz/Fournier/SF/Gordon/Vucevic. Fight for 8 seed. Lose in 1st round. Rinse and repeat.

The pick itself is whatever. I don't really care about the 45th player in a crappy draft really anyway. That part isn't the issue.

It's just the level of passivity and inaction that has everyone justifiably annoyed.

This front office, who I don't dislike nearly as much as a lot of other posters, simply does not actively seek out things. They let things happen around them and react to what other teams are doing and that's really frustrating.
