I know you are joking but we are in a situation where this is almost certainly the case. :D

So uh Edwards saying he doesn’t really love basketball is... interesting. Wonder if he drops.

Makes sense if we traded for 45. That's why I was asking about any ammo we had for this draft. We need to a. fill out the roster, b. probably stay under the lux tax, and c. start development of players with this new core's window now rather than later.

Seems like this might've been pulled out of context. Probably not something you want to be clarifying on draft day though.

"I'm still not really into it," Edwards said. "I love basketball, yeah ... basketball is my heart, but football is where I started, so I'll never forget about that. But don't get me wrong, basketball is my No. 1 because I feel like it's going to get me through a lot of the stuff I need to get through."

Edwards elaborated, saying that he feels as though basketball is more of an occupation than a love.

"It's what I do. It's a job," Edwards added. "I feel like I'm working right now. I love it."

I'll take the Deni Advija +7500 odds to go #1. I'm not counting out what can happen in a weak draft, trade offers being looked at, and and the likely #1 pick may preferring to go to Golden State.

Just want to give the update that 45 has fallen apart mentally, I would no longer rely on him and we should probably sign Recently Waived Veteran to steady the ship.

In terms of soup-centric anecdotes, may actually surpass JR Smith hurling a bowl at one of his coaches.

I'm all in on drafting Cassius Winston right now, and am going to be pretty upset if he's there and we don't pick him.

Well now I'm a little irritated if we don't have 42.

stellation wrote:A little bit of inside info on LaMelo Ball- when he played out here he played for a team called the Illawara Hawks, based in the city of Wollongong- about 1 1/2 hours south of Sydney.

Now here's the bit that the mock drafts won't tell you- it's actually quite a lovely train ride down there from Sydney. It's about 2 hours, the second half of which works through a mountain range following the coast line and you can daydream out the window looking over treetops to the ocean. I'm sure that train ride has heavily influenced LaMelo's game style.

I was totally expecting this story to finish up with "he got in one little fight and his mom got scared, and said ‘You’re moving in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air,’"
