Bucks need as many 2nds as possible to fill the backend of their roster and not get hard capped. Rookie minimums cost less than vets.

Well, we have been talking about 25 players as a solid options at #10, so I think it's a pretty good info.

And he said that we are not gonna select for sure Halliburton, Nesmith and Hayes.

Obviously the FO are not gonna tell him exactly who we are gonna get.

 Which is why even though we're not a tax paying team, We should absolutely be looking to fill out our bench depth( Kaminsky/ Diallo/ Okobo) maybe even Owens with similiar low cost rookie scale contracts. And then apply the difference in savings from that to another key veteran if possible. How short are we currently on our total roster count towards depth? I'd have to strongly believe that we could at very least find an upgrade to Kaminsky, Okobo, and Owens given the depth present in the 2nd round. Plenty of opportunities for our 3rd string bench. And potential G league draft and stash two way players.

One thing about Haliburton is he's not really the sort of exciting high-hype guy teams would try to trade up for, and also not the type you "just can't pass on," so mayyyybe he does slip all the way to 10. So the scenario I'm hoping for is basically a big scramble in which he gets lost in the shuffle and ends up available to us:

Someone trades into the top 3 for Toppin or Wiseman, causing Ball/Toppin/Wiseman to go 1-3 in some order, which shakes things up because Edwards is suddenly available later than expected. And then some team is Ringer-level enamored with Hayes, so the next 3 are Edwards/Avdija/Hayes in some order, and it turns out to be true that the Pistons are focused on Patrick Williams, so now Haliburton has slipped past the 6 and 7 spots where he's been most frequently mocked. At that point all it takes is NYK and WAS (or teams trading up for those picks) preferring guys like Okoro, Okongwu, or Vassell over Haliburton. Boom, Haliburton to Phoenix at #10!

I think Okoro drops...looking through those teams I just don't see a team that seems like they would draft him..MAYBE Cleveland? Atlanta has as ton of wings. The Knicks could, and he seems kind of like a Thibs type guy, but it seems like they need a shooter given their roster.

Washington seems to be rumored or stuck on Okongwu the whole draft.

And I guess we did a virtual interview with Okoro, and I don't think we would have done virtual interviews unless we like their games, so if he drops there is probably a good chance we take him.

It could be who Flex is talking about since Gambo also mentioned him and I seriously doubt it's Avdija, the other guy he mentioned..we didn't interview him either, but that could have been because we thought there was no way he'd drop. I guess there is a chance he drops.

You never hear him really connected with any team. Seems like he's often mocked to Chicago but they have Markkanen.

Who would want Avdija if he dropped?

What will be the format this year? Will there be no ‘last guy in the Green Room’? Are we going to be deprived of the ‘New Suit Show’ ? The relentless heckle factor, the crazed fan base excited over every pick and their one 5 second cameo on TV? Could we see one large Zoom feed?

Gawd this is a weird yr.

This looks like it might be a good page to have open and follow during the draft...there are draft and FA related tweets listed on the right and Best Available at each position....

Though their list of SGs are not SGs

Here is a detailed draft player ranking. There is a small writeup on each guy, but also a link to a very detailed scouting report.

That almost makes it sound as if this was written before the college season...neither were named near the top before their play this year.

We'll trade down for Precious Achiuwa, everyone will be mad, then he balls out and becomes untouchable.

Hoping Toppin drops, but I'll take Vassell at 10. If neither trade.
