If the Wiz do draft him, do you think that, at fan appreciation day, he’ll explain Jaques Derrida to me?

"So like, the idea that your opponent is in fact your opposition in the game is a false dichotomy. Really we are cooperation on this bassketball court, there are no losers, we are all winners here. Even the disappointment of a missed shot or 'lost' game, is an opportunity to gain persepctive, and you know, in practice, attempt to improve. Ultimately that way lies disappointment, there will never be perfection, a perfect game, a perfect player. The players driven in this way by hatred of the absense of winning are themselves charicaristically empty people. Consider the best of the best, does a guy like Michael Jordan feel fufilled? Even six championships was never enough, and with his rage to win he never seemed happy, you understand. There is a subtext to the cocept that his mickname is 'Air'. does that connote emptiness? Or perhaps that he is of such a lofty height that he is alone, like uh, uh, a hermit at the top of a mountain. But true fulfillment comes from recognizing that imperfection creates beauty. That your opponents are your, kinda, dance partners, and in striving, you attain. I mean that's why we like competition, and why people cheer, because there is a chance you fail, so, that adds the thrill. If we won all the time without effort it would be boring, right? And if anyone could do it, if it was easy, no one would watch. The imperfection in a loss provides the beauty of a win, it's the imperfection inherent in any creative act. So it underlines the essential emptiness of existence by providing bright moments of you know, a chance at failure narrowly avoided. That's why Overtime is so much fun. And also hey, it puts digits on my paycheck. You want me to sign the back, or on the front?"

I give him credit but c'mon. The Republic is Phil 100 in any University. I give him credit but only so much. Now if he would have remembered that the light inside the cave came from a fire that would be a different story lol.

Detroit trades a future 1st for #16. No thanks with 2021 and 2022 classes coming up.

Not a peep from the Wizards front office. This is the best kept secret, whatever they end up doing. Got nothing to even speculate about. That Wall rumor wasn't even started by or refuted by the Wizards...just all quiet. I actually like it this time around.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory_of_the_cave
In the allegory, Socrates describes a group of people who have lived chained to the wall of a cave all their lives, facing a blank wall. The people watch shadows projected on the wall from objects passing in front of a fire behind them and give names to these shadows. The shadows are the prisoners' reality but are not accurate representations of the real world.

Bey said the light inside the cave came from the Sun. This is incorrect. There's a fire inside the cave that cast the shadows. But all in all, I was just joking lol. Wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Is there a better board on the internet for Wizard Draft night? I think this has to be best?
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

I should of looked at him closer. Is there any hope for his offense outside of being an unskilled big man? Wow he's old. 21!

Go for best player available or trade down.
If they really want a big like Precious or Stix, they can get them later than 9. Especially Jalen Smith. That's assuming Okongwu is gone.

Hes not totally unskilled. He just consistently pushed the limits of his skill trying to be a 1st option after Wiseman went out. :D

He has a decent handle. He has face up potential if he starts hitting his jumper regularly. You'll occasionally see him throw a nice dime or leas a break.

Dat. Didn't hear your opinion on this pick since I've been M.I.A. What was your pick here, assuming he would be available?

I guess Wiseman is coming up, despite the Klay issues.

So funny that Shams has all three picks so far well before the picks went off. But no shocker that LaMelo to Charlotte.

Return to Washington Wizards
