I would be interested in that trade mainly for the 5th pick

Gordon Hayward Celtics
"In the hours leading up to Wednesday night’s NBA draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly are interested in Boston Celtics veteran Gordon Hayward.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst noted in his “Hoop Collective” podcast that a potential deal could also involve Cavs center Andre Drummond, in addition to draft picks. The Cavaliers hold the fifth overall pick in the draft, while the Celtics have three first-round selections, though none higher than the 14th pick."
If Hayward is opting in could be Hayward and 14 for Drummond and 5
Is CLE gonna pay him $45M a year? Why would Gordo be interested in CLE? This one absolutely makes zero sense IMO
If he opts in to get the 34 million this year and is a FA next offseason when more teams have cap space. This is niot him opting out and S and T
He doesn't need to go to CLE to do what you are saying, he could just stay in BOS. Unless of course, he WANTS to be in CLE

So damn good.
I do. Never seen it. The Hop and Grind in the North Shore mall is my chicken sandwich fix. I’ll have to look it up.

I listened to that podcast......... it sounded pretty dumb when he said it and Lowe didn't seem very convinced.

I get that for sure. I'm just saying that if they can figure out a way to maintain bird rights with Gallo, then it still has the ability to benefit them. It has nothing to do with him playing for the Thunder this year. There are a lot of teams (more than Dallas) that would love to have Gallo that don't have the ability to sign him outright. If he walks, he walks, but they would prefer to squeeze something out of him, and that has been the plan since the trade deadline.
Atl would sign him outright with no compensation from Okc according to these sauces
Yeah, I understand that. Atlanta would take him out of the equation for OKC, which may be why they don't worry about the structure of the Horford deal.

Starting to feel for Gordo, working real hard to drum up a market for himself and he's got Atlanta dropping out and Cleveland left. Ouch.

Is it possible Hayward wants to opt in and stay on a 1 yr deal and pad his stats for a year to get a bigger contract in 2021?NuckyPowell wrote:Spin Move wrote:https://cavaliersnation.com/2020/11/18/report-cavs-could-be-landing-spot-for-celtics-forward-gordon-hayward/

I can't see Gordon wanting any part of that unless they wanted to severely overpay him.

Drummond is so bad I would only accept the trade if it was Hayward 30 for drummond and 5. The trade up to 2.Spin Move wrote:SparringPartner wrote:Spin Move wrote:https://cavaliersnation.com/2020/11/18/report-cavs-could-be-landing-spot-for-celtics-forward-gordon-hayward/

CLE deal makes no sense. they could just keep drummond and not re-sign in a year. no way gordo resigns there anyways.

I have yet to hear this, nobody ever brings up his knees. Glad you brought it up finally.
I was just about the first person on this board to bring up his knees as a long term ‘we are ****’ issue.

Sure, but then you have to ask yourself, why the fck does CLE want to do that??
