Not sure I follow. Bogdanovic talks to the Bucks about what they can offer and agrees to a number. Bogdanovic/Bucks then tell the Kings they want a deal to Milwaukee. Kings and Bucks negotiate the trade and we’re all set. If Bogdanovic knows he wants to sign with the Bucks he has no need to hear out other offers.

I get what you are saying but technically these teams can't be talking to the players yet right? I guess what I mean is wouldn't Bogdan want to hear ALL offers on Friday before he agrees to get traded to the Bucks?

I'm still not panicking at all about this. I'm still convinced that the Bucks, Kings, and Bogdan (or his agent) are doing a helluva sell job that no tampering was done in order to facilitate this move - probably with the league office's encouragement.

League Office: Hey, what is this that we're hearing about a sign and trade with Bogdan? You know you can't even talk to him until Friday, right? That's tampering.
Bucks/Kings/Bogdan: Oh...uh...well there was never a deal done.
League Office: What are these reports about, then? If you were tampering, you know we'd have to fine you and possible block this move, right?
Bucks/Kings/Bogdan: No tampering took place, because no one talked to Bogdan. *Leaks that no deal was done.*
League Office: Okay, good.

League:

A league source told The Sacramento Bee “there is no deal” when the trade was first reported Monday night and reiterated “there was never a deal” on Wednesday when news broke that the trade might be falling apart.

Another theory: this is the NBA equivalent of a Friday afternoon news dump. Story gets intentionally leaked to Amick pre-draft, while Giannis is reportedly on a plane to MKE, knowing that the post draft stories will dominate and this story can slink under the radar in the coming NBA news crush. Then gets finalized / confirmed Friday once it’s legal.

They can't, the same way we couldn't be working on one with the Kings. I guess someone was just dumb enough to leak that ours was a done deal.

On Windhorst’s pod, he said it was clearly jumping the gun, but that no one would object. I’d have to guess some owner heard that pod and said screw it, I’m going to object. So now everyone is back tracking.
