Celebrity Facebook pages are pretty dodgy. Noel's is probably 3 or 4 steps removed from him. Whoever runs it likely just pulled up a random picture of Nerlens dunking and it happened to be one with the Sixers.

Don't get this from OKC's perspective unless they're really banking on our #2025 1st landing in the lottery.

I get the idea of accumulating assets, but Horford's lengthy deal just seems so at odds with a rebuilding team. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

Which makes me think, there just has to be something else in the pipeline. Even though Green theoretically fits well as a starting 2/3... Green has had peaks and valleys in terms of his 3pt shooting. In Toronto he was amazing, in LA this year, he was decent enough. Same for the playoffs, a few years he's outstanding, the last 2 years in the low 30%. But he gets attention from there.

All shooters are streaky. Overall Danny Green is a FANTASTIC fit and a guy we should have targeted long ago. Even if we do nothing more this offseason, just getting him for Horford makes us a better team.

The streaky shooter argument was the same nonsense we heard about Covington from clueless dudes. Both of those dudes have 3PAr > 60%. Of course they're going to be going through shooting droughts.

Danny Green has always been super valuable. 19th in the NBA in 3 year RAPM. There's a reason he always ends up on great teams.

Very good trade for Sixers. Horford was NEVER going to play in starting 5 which means he was a 28 million backup center which is insane. Getting Green, Ferguson and a trade exception for a 2nd and a 1st 4 years from now is a very decent transaction cost.

This is bothering me. Couldn't we have just traded #21 and Horford for Schroder?

I'd rather do the Green deal. Schroder is not a good fit with Ben and Jo. Green is.

And there's also the fact that they got an additional first in the first trade. So unless you think the 2025 1st is only enough to move from #28 to #21 we'd still owe more.

No, I'm saying do the exact same deal we did, but add #21 to it and get Schroder instead of Green. Hurts the Lakers, helps us more.

And Schroder I think is a great fit.

Don't see what's not to like.

The issue is other then saving the owner money it doesn't really help us.

If you want to celebrate that go ahead but Danny Green doesn't solve anything and it's not like those dollars can be redirected into a different player. We are going to be over the cap regardless.

No. Why would the Thunder take that over what they got?

#21 vs #28, #36, future 1st, Micic

It's not just about this year, it's about future years and having that money off the books.

Anyone else find his face extremely punchable?

When you are capped out, traded player exceptions and expirings are incredibly valuable in putting deals together. You don't sign FA's you trade folks into space and expiring deals.

Seems harsh. I'm sure the guy knows he screwed up and he's handled getting supplanted by Morey with class.
