Lavine strikes me as a subtraction by addition kind of player. He has no idea or willingness to play winning basketball. I would possibly take him if he was cheap and we had a leader that would command respect on the team. Right now i think an offense with Embiid, harris, Lavine and Simmins will look awful. Basically players taking turns in doing iso and being mediocre at it. Defense will also take a hit with the Lavine Harris pairing.

He takes a ton of tough shots that he creates for himself. Say what you want about the guy, but he's a damn good shooter.

I told you all, Andrew Wiggins is inevitable!

On the real...if you could flip Ben+++++ for Curry, do you? Dubs reset with second pick and Ben, we party with Embiid and Steph.

Sure, but the Warriors aren't trading Steph

I prefer Harden over Curry, not the least because he is much less of an injury risk.

Idk why this debate is going on in here but hell no. It's not even close (and I like Harden a lot).

Yeah, Curry is for sure the superior asset and will age better. If the Dubs are smart they look to rebuild now.

Scoring points is pretty important.

LaVine doesn't seem to think so. He lets the other team have all the points they want!

Im afraid if we wait for a guy with good numbers to come along another team might see the good numbers and outbid us.

Judging by a lot of the comments on this board, I'm not too worried considering most people don't even understand which numbers are valuable. I mean just last year we saw an NBA GM give up multiple first round picks + a valuable player to give Tobias Harris 180 million.

This is why we're targeting LaVine:

Next 3 moves:

1. maximize JRich in a trade
2. find a backup center
3. find another ballhandler. A guard.

Yeah. He's not that good and we shouldn't pay too much for him, but he fills an obvious need, for sure.

Well 1 and 3 could be same transaction.

Zach LaVine is a Primary Perimeter Initiator. That is the MOST valuable archetype in the current NBA, and something we don't have.

He's a guy we really need. Hopefully the price is right.

Guna ignore everything you said except to agree the Tobias trade was very dumb.

In theory, throw Kornet into the LaVine deal and you got all 3 done in 1 move.

Maybe we won't be getting Wiggins. Morey would ruin that shoe deal.

Anyone think D-Lo could be a possible trade target? Not really an ideal fit, but are options are limited. I could see Minnesota eventually moving on for some younger core players.

Wish we got DLO last summer instead of Horford, but I feel like the ship with him has sailed. I have a difficult time seeing Grosas breaking up KAT-DLO so soon.
