Not too far since supposedly Detroit wanted him.

Jesus... I would rather have the 7th pick...

I think I saw a draft board that had him at 7 so that fits.

He is 19 years old and 6'9" 230

that is a big #%#ing frame and he will probably keep growing.

I dunno, I don't follow college hoops...

When is the last time a non-starting raw player like this panned out? Just confused.

I’m on board for the complete tank next year.

This sucks. We move up in lottery only to miss out on the top 3. And then take a guy that values around 7-10. Just blows.

Defends well, passes well, good midrange pullup, very good FT shooter, 3pt shooting potential, and has some shot off the dribble. Great character too. He was a 5-star 215lb SG that shot a lot more than he did at Florida St.

His teammates at Florida St. didn't finish a lot of his nice passes otherwise he would've had a lot more assists. AK preaches player development and he's gonna be good in the right hands.

It’s not really relevant because certain colleges do things differently. I’m fairly certain LaVine played his entire college year off the bench as well.

I would have traded down, but I don’t mind the upside play at the wing. Glad it wasn’t Haliburton or Toppin.

First worst decision by our new front office. I am super pissed.

I was hoping to trade up but worst case pick 1 of Deni/Obi/etc. Why are we picking another Chandler Hutchinson? Especially this high.
Mind blown.

Supposedly a good defender and spot up shooter.

Don't think anyone can say that yet - apparently he's got 'the tools' to be a good shooter.

Has a bench player ever been drafted in the top 5 before?

Very odd choice.

Hopefully he pans out for us though.

He must have been spectacular in workouts. You don't pick a guy with that weak a college career that high otherwise.

You guys are being crazy harsh. He’s a guy the Spurs loved and someone that kept climbing boards. Wish his shot release was quicker, but he’ll be able to play as a tough wing defender and rebounder.

Maybe The Bulls have more planned for tonight...? Does Williams play SF or PF?

LaVine?

I was thinking more of a wing.

I hope he has a better career than Marvin Williams....

No opinion. Don't know anything about him.
