Marvin Williams. There are a lot of similarities actually.

Very odd choice.

Hopefully he pans out for us though.

Marvin Williams though he did show a lot of potential that year.

These guys haven't played in like a year, so I assume he has put in work

I am so **** happy right now. Got the guy I wanted and I think we got an awesome player boys. Going to be a plus defender from day one and the Offense is going to develop. His interview right after about "work needing to be doe" has me pretty jazzed. Could be BS but if he's as hard a worker as the reports say he is I believe Donovan can make him a special player. Great day.

I mean we hired the coach with a track record for developing young players right? Now we get to see it in action.

That said im surprised we couldnt have traded down and gotten him

I think it might have been Zach Lavine. IIRC he didn't start either.

i don't like this pick but there aren't a ton of picks i would have been super excited about, so whatever.

i am sadly incapable of having a strong, unfounded opinion. what am i supposed to do.....wait several years to see how it actually pans out?

Maybe they thought this draft was weak and that he was a "swing for the fences" type of pick? Or perhaps they think they're smarter than they really are?

Obviously this remains to be seen. I hope he's good and will be rooting for him.

I don’t know what to say about this pick. Did the Bulls draft this guy for somebody else in a trade?

Beyond Edwards, Ball, Wiseman, I don't know much about the talent pool. So, if this kid has as much as talent as the other candidates I'm all for it. I don't see the next picks like Okoro and Okongwu any more special. Maybe the biggest surprise is the Israeli kid fall beyond 4th. I thought we're going to pick him.

There is not enough information about Williams to cause the over-the-top reactions that is happening in this thread. The Bulls could have taken Obi, Deni, Kira, or whoever at 4 and there would be a faction of Bulls fans throwing a hissy fit.

Give the young man a chance, for gawd sake.

Williams isn't that bad of a pick.

Still think he's a tier below Okongwu as a prospect.
