I don't get it. Why would we back out of this?

Maybe there's a contingency plan in the case we couldn't get Bogdan we'd target someone else?

It's a ridiculous overpayment even with the Bogdan deal. Now it's even worse without Bogdan because we aren't really getting better and giving up potential trade assets because they're all going to New Orleans.

Re: Bucks acquire Jrue Holiday
If Edwards falls to number 2, back out of this trade, take advantage of Klay being hurt and move Milddleton for the pick. Giannis won't leave, he's a nice guy.

The Bogdan deal didn't make us better, it just acquired the buddy of Giannis. If he actually backed out (he didnt) that's between Giannis and his buddy.
We're fine.

If Bogdon falls through I'm sure they'd try to find a similar move to make up for it. Could getting Redick into this deal be an option as a replacement?

Also leaves the Bucks without a single guard who has proven capable of consistently hitting over 35% of his 3's over the last 5 seasons. I think Jrue is around 34% in that stretch. People complained about Wesley Matthews shooting the 3 but he has never been under 36% in his entire career.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Really don't understand how this point isn't very obvious to everyone here...

It made us better. Bogdan is better than Donte by a fair amount.ShootingtheJ wrote:trwi7 wrote:ShootingtheJ wrote:I don't get it. Why would we back out of this?

My less than 1% is probably moving up to about 3%.

Lol. I thought of this but held back on any kind of 'told ya so' type of post. Still hope it all works out.

I'd rather have Giannis than 1st round picks in 5 and 7 years, so don't try backing out of this.

The data doesn't support this, even if we ignore salary.

The reaction to this trade was interesting. Even the usual chicken littles were sounding like Jim Paschke

Hope the data you use isnt team data because comparing Donte on the 1st place Bucks vs an awful Kings team makes no sense
Also, for you to make that statement but not wish we could take the Jrue trade back makes no sense either. The marginal gain from Jrue over two pretty good guards and 3 1sts 2 pick swaps for a possible 1 year rental is silly especially without Bogdon. With Bogdon it makes more sense but still a big overpay with unprotected picks

The difference between playoff Jrue and playoff Bledsoe is as big as the Grand Canyon.

Of course it is, but it could be for one playoff run too
