Why didn't we trade back though... was mocked everywhere around the #20 mark...

Cam Johnson all over again. Sick of this when you have other guys on the board.

Washington, Herro straight after Johnson and now the next 2 guys probably studs too after Smith

Haha vintage James Jones. Smith is a decent player, but it's the same thing as last year - picking a player way too early while refusing to acquire another asset.

If you really like a player, you don't get cute and trade down to pick up a second round draft pick.

I like this pick. Especially with CP3 here, it makes feeding bigs a lot easier. Now we can focus on improving our guard and wing depth in free agency.

I predicted Jalen day of the lottery. Few weeks ago switched gears to Bane. Chose Jalen as the guy I wanted us to draft in the last poll (when he was included).

Smith is exactly what they need and fills their biggest hole, outside of a replacing what Oubre gave them.

Yeah, I like Jalen Smith. This wasn't that big of a reach. The only guys I probably would have taken over him are Haliburtion and Vassell, and he was probably about even with Vassell.

We kind of needed another backup PF/C and he is a shot blocker/3 pt shooter....62.6% TS%

Because we've looked really good when we've deployed effective stretch 5's. The challenge is finding guys who can play that role consistently. Jalen's that guy in this draft.
