At least Rubio commands a close out nowadays, he's certainly not a good 3 point shooter but you can't just leave him open on the perimeter anymore.

But yes, another forward who can hit the 3 is a requirement

Ricky has shot much better. This year 36% from 3 and 86% from FT. Nothing wrong with his shooting at all anymore.

We have two guys making max deals that should be providing leadership. That's a weak ass argument.

I like KAT and D'Lo as much as anyone, but there's a difference between team stars and team leaders. KAT in particular is too laid back to be the skipper. Whereas Ricky can be - hell, already has been - captain of the team.

Norseman79 wrote:Passing? Sure. Defense? Ok. Why not pick that in someone at 17 who has potential to be even more? Ricky better be coming here as the backup guard, not starting PG.

I don't think in this draft you're going to find anyone who'll make that kind of impact at 17 or below. If there is, I'd like to know who it is.

With JJ going out in the OKC trade. We have no salary to trade for a forward like Gordon, etc. I mean we could roll with Okogie, Culver, Vanderbilt, and Hernangomez, but that seems like a horrible plan.

Ricky statistically made the Suns better when he was on the court..

He was a positive on the court for us too, anyone denying that is in denial..

Glad we have him back. Made the draft better for me, I like a Ricky/DLO back court

Ricky was a great presence on the court, for our opponents. They backed off him and doubled KAT. They also collapsed the driving lanes so Wiggins was essentially neutralized. JFT sucked after the first year, but in the first year he was a major step up from Ricky. We finally got a solid shooting PG so of course we are going to move him to SG and get a floor general with a questionable shot. SMH, WTF, FML, I could go on.

JMac grew into a decent backup for us too...lol

I just never saw Ricky as the problem for our struggles, he shot his best % from 3 last year as well

I wonder if we can move 25 and 28 for a late teens pick and get a big.

He doesn’t make KAT better. He makes KAT get doubled and makes it that much harder to get to the rim. The only way this works out is if Ricky can force them to guard him. He couldn’t before and I seriously doubt he can this time.
