Outside of Wiseman, it's all a crap shoot in my opinion. And even James isn't close to a sure thing. I liked what I saw in the film on Williams. He is certainly a beast with athleticism. You don't usually get both in a player his size. I'm optimistic he will reach the peak of whatever his potential is. I guess that's the real question, what is his peak as a player?

GarPax never took risks. Now AKME is taking a risk. I'll live with the pick. Besides the Spurs were desperate for him, that should be a good sign.

I'm not sure the team picking #11 wanting your guy is that good of a sign.

I’ve read his stock skyrocketed during the Pre-Draft process. Maybe he could’ve been a hot commodity had their been an NCAA Tournament.

Really solid point. The draft looks entirely different in a year without a tournament. I'm definitely not going to complain about the pick before he's even played a minute. Maybe I would other years but not this one.

Love the pick. Deni was my guy and I feel like a bunch of teams are going to regret passing on him, including the Bulls possibly.

But Williams feels like a great pick. If you're critiquing him only by YouTube highlights, watch full FSU games instead and you'll quickly realize he's a special talent.

Warrior fan here and I think you guys made a good pick. I wouldnt have minded if we traded down a bit and gotten Williams. The GS front office liked him a lot.

Great 2 way potential and you can't judge him by his stats at FSU. He's got potential to guard every position at a high level and has offensive ability as well.

Not saying he's a sure thing, but this was a crap draft and Williams in so many ways fits the profile of a king sized wing who is truly a positionless beast. I think its a solid choice.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

Calm down.

Agree w/overreacting part, but disagree in that this top 3’s a crapshoot too. All three have huge bust potential IMO - at least relative to what folks typically expect from a top 3 pick.

Which says a lot...and gives all the more reason for folks to calm down like you said.

You had the opportunity to watch a lot of FSU games? If so, what’s your analysis on him?

The outrage ranks high in board history. I hope it wont age well. Taj Gibson feels Williams’ pain. I really like the pick, wanted it for a few days now. this kid passes the eye test.

I think it might have been Zach Lavine. IIRC he didn't start either.

Devin Booker I believe.

I think when you are picking as high as we were, you should be taking the player with the highest likelihood of becoming an all-star.

In that regard, I do think we failed. I think Okongwu clearly bests him there. Probably Hayes/Poku too.

He's still a solid pick, but feels more like a guy that you're happy drafting in the 6 - 10 range.

This. William's is a beast physically while being the 2nd youngest player in the draft. You don't see guys that young, with that body/strength/athleticism, that also have a lot of skill already with plenty of upside.

A high pick on a SF which means he is one of the top SFs in the draft. That's what is the future of the league. I'm glad that they didn't invest in a tiny guard or a stiff big who dominated mediocre competition in HS/college.

For me, drafting is a crazy crapshoot. If you are not sure of a draft pick such as Zion, you go with a SF in that tier.

Hahaha, yeah that's a good point. We could have traded down and could have snagged him.

But with how uncertain this draft could be. There's a good possibility that he would been snagged up by the Pistons or the Hawks.

I was more of a Hayes guy. A bit disappointed that we didn't make a move for him. But I can live with our pick.

Im with you. Deni still looks good to me. But in terms of team needs, P Will is the best fit in a lineup that has Lavine on one side, Lauri on the other. P Will and WCJ will be the tent poles on defense.

Pick 14, still no trades. Clearly a trade down was not as easy as some people were asking here.
the guy is clearly raw. Let him play before complaining so much
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.
