I bet they wish Edwards was about 6'8 right now and could play on the wings.

seems like an overpay for #17 but Okc swinging on poku makes a lot of sense and could pay off.

It makes sense. Pretty cheap way to take a shot on a guy that might turn into a high end player 3 or 4 years from now.

Fixing the Jeff Teague error that Thibs made.

Great deal for all parties involved!
Minnesota knows that their pick is more than likely going to the Warriors due to the recent changes in the draft lottery. Not to mention they got this pick whilst sending Covington for Juancho and Malik Beasley and took on Crabbe from Atlanta for #17. With the recent off court issues for Malik, he may be on the outs. Getting 2 late 1sts to fill out the roster is important, but as an added bonus they get back a fan favourite in Rubio who shouldn't have been traded to begin with(thanks Thibs). He can easily run the 2nd unit and while this draft wasn't the best, I hope they have a 2nd phase to this plan. If they could somehow join the James Harden deal and give up their 1st plus future picks(perhaps 23 and 25 with 2 draft swaps) and land Ben Simmons(pipe dream), this would be all of a sudden a fun and exciting team to watch and see.
Presti and co. know that there are only so many roster spots to go around. They managed to not only move up in the draft, but they get Pokusevski who they could keep in Europe for a year to get further development if he chooses whilst shedding Rubio's salary off the books. Pok is the perfect player to roll the dice on for the Thunder plus as an added bonus, they have finally managed to get under the luxury tax whilst accommodating Horford's deal at 10M under and will save 35M off the books not to mention disposing of the dreaded repeater tax penalty. They also have Grant and PG's TPE's to use should they want to eat up more salary to get more picks.

James Johnson must be going to OKC in this deal.

Whenever I think of Rubio, I see him in a Minny jersey alongside Love.
I think Kobe was still playing when Rubio was last with them.
I think Kobe was still playing when Rubio was last with them.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

There is no point of keeping Pokusevski in Greece for him to play in their weak second division , OKC will be bad anyways next season , OKC can afford to play him right away, they can test and see what they have in him.

Well, I think Rubio makes a lot of sense as another playmaker and good defender next to Dlo, but I think he will be traded yet again

For all of Rubio's faults, his teams have won wherever he has gone. Good move for Minny to have a team first guy.

Not really..2 playoff appearances in 9 seasons. Decent player though.

What faults has Rubio got other than 3-point shooting? And .361 last season is better than a lot of shooters anyway.

He can’t slash either. He can basically get a layup only if 1v0, I’ve never seen him make a layup with contact, and I watched him for years in Minny. And the 3pt shooting percentage is because teams still gameplan to leave him open a lot, so in that sense .360 is not that great.
That said, Ricky is a winner and I can’t wait to watch him in the TWolves jersey.

He blew his knee trying to help defend Kobe, I still remember that moment very well. Sad he never was the same after that on defense and it was his rookie season.
