He will look LIT in that jersey.

Like KOC said, we have an identity now. Lots of dunks, lots of breaks, exciting basketball.

Ball is a killer outlet passer by the way and also an elite rebounder for a guard

True, Borrego has a good bit of line up flexibility and seems patient and I think Ball will need that at first.

Knicks is my favorite team but hornets is a close second and the local team. Really glad this team decided to swing for the fences instead of safe or another project big

I think JB is a great coach for this as well. He seems to have a grasp on offensive play which is something I think will go well with Lamelo

I'm cautiously optimistic, but I think we might actually finally have a coach who is at least decent. My gut tells me he might possibly even be quite good, but its hard to tell at this point.

Spurs are my favorite team but I have lived in NC since I was 11 so the Hornets have always been my second team. I hope Lamelo works out. Not a fan of this kid but I think it was worth the risk for the Hornets in the sense there was nobody I thought that was great in this draft outside of Wiseman and possibly Edwards. I hope it pans out for the Hornets and they finally have a team that is worth watching which they haven't had since the Baron Davis-Mashburn era.

Man if LaMelo just had a normal shooting form, I’d be out of my mind. There is room in my love dome though.

He wanted us to trade up in one of the worst drafts in the last 20 years. I cant take him seriously

LaMelo said he can see himself as a point forward and that positionless basketball is the thing now.

JB said we need more playmaking in our lineup and LaMelo is considered by some to be an elite playmaker from day 1.

So I expect him in lineups with Devonte' and Rozier as the point forward. And I see him playing well off the quickness of Monk, quarterbacking the second unit.

JB also wants to play more uptempo. LaMelo thinks he fits with a young team that can run.

So playmaking, sharing the ball, pace, all seem to fit JB's system. JB must be thrilled to get him. He really opens up so many opportunities to diversify the offensive attack for a team that finished dead last on offense.

Devonte' + Monk + Rozier + Miles + PJ + Wood will be dropping bombs, running and flushing lobs.

We're gonna be so much fun to watch.

watched almost all his games here in Australia. He literally did things no player has ever done in our league before.....as an 18 year old kid. Needless to say, as much as yes I wanted Wiseman (so, im happy ) I was higher on LaMelo than pretty well everyone on our board .

Is he perfect ? No. But I think he's going to be a hell of a player for you guys.

Congrats

He's def going to as well. If he shoots above 30% from 3 his rookie year then I'll be happy.

Stoked. Feels so strange to feel this good post draft. Last year I really wanted PJ, but it was still the 12th pick.

To get a guy who I feel can change our franchise for the next 10 years is pretty exciting. Think we will be exciting to watch, we will get a lot of media attention which should help with free agency, and I think players will like playing with him because he is such a good playmaker.

We have a lot to figure out from a roster construction situation, but I think landing Lamelo gives us infinite possibilities to where I felt like drafting Wiseman we were pretty narrowed in on improving SG and only SG.

Lamelo has such versatility in being able to play 1-3 at times and his passing will open up a lot of unique lineups. I have even seen reports that doctors think he could grow another inch or two.

Also, love the rest of the draft. Getting two more bigs for Lamelo to develop with makes a lot of sense- he was making Josh Boone, Ogilvy and David Anderson servicable in Australia. Can't wait to watch him set up some better athletes and surround him with the shooting of Devonte, Rozier and PJ.

serviceable is a stretch for those 3 bigs  but yeah, he didn't have much of a supporting class.
actually apologies to Anderson who did well for a semi retired dude.

He's sounding like Ben Simmons minus the defense. Please learn defense and become a better shooter than Simmons. That's a superstar. But even Ben Simmons minus the defense is a solid double for pick 3. The difference is we have shooters surrounding him from day 1.
