He's an intriguing crazy long player with skills, can shoot!. Needs to definitely build the frame up. Hope he excites everyone in Iowa games. Maybe he see's minutes this year idk.Nick K wrote:Neeva wrote:Who do wolves like at 25 and 27? Praying Green and Mcdaniels or Terry.

Rosas is going into luxury to make a run with this crew.
If true, it speaks volumes of his intelligence or lack there of. To think this squad at this moment in time in the Western Conference could compete at the top is a joke. A bigger joke to think Ricky will get us there. All while in the luxury tax
We gotta go all in with that pick going to Golden State. Gotta try our best to finally get over the hump and make the playoffs. OKC will likely be out, Houston will likely be out. Phoenix, New Orleans and Memphis will be our biggest competition to squeeze in imo. It's gonna be tough, need more shooting and Edwards to be a day 1 impact guy. Time will tell.

I wasn't thinking Pritchard. Forgot that one. But Nesmith and Bane are exactly kind of picks well prepared contenders draft.Neeva wrote:I think bostons draft is meh but I dont believe in Pritchard or Nesmith.

Re: NBA Draft Day Thread
Look at the scouting report on Bolmaro. Super similar to Lamelo Ball, but better shooting and D.
Leandro Bolmaro
6'7", 182 lbs. Argentina
Pre-Draft Analysis
Strengths
- Good size at 6-foot-7 for someone who can play point guard.
- Creative ball handler who plays at different speeds and shows excellent passing ability off a live dribble. Manipulates defenses with pace, skill and feel. Uses floaters and touch shots to finish creatively around the basket.
- Plays with energy defensively. Attentive and aware both on and off the ball. Quick feet sliding and containing in small spaces. Gets into passing lanes.
Improvement areas
- Lacks a degree of strength and explosiveness athletically. Can't always beat better defenders from a standstill. Has struggled to put the ball in the basket at times against higher-level competition.
- Career 30% 3-point shooter on more than 300 attempts and a 68% free throw shooter. Just how good of a shooter can he become? Low, clunky release limits him at times against better defenders.
- Hasn't been seen nearly as much as other international players in this draft. Played only 388 minutes this season, rotating between Barcelona's first and second teams.
Projected role: Big two-way playmaker

Pick 17 and 33 for 23 and 28. Instead of choosing from a wider selection of front court players (Nnaji) at #17....we basically got the PF leftovers at #28 and still have a hole there because Rosas decided to draft a foreign stash guard with 23.
Fail.
#17 and #33 for #23, #28, and a starting-caliber Point-Guard.
Right. Forgot about Rubio. And I do like that move. I'm just upset that Rosas chose to trade #33 to move up two spots. PF was a huge hole and still is.

Re: NBA Draft Day Thread
About Bolmaro... just 5 cents.
Not a shooter at all. From any distance.
Some good manners driving to the rim. He's not scared to finish at bigger guys
The skillset and vision of a PG into a small-forward body frame.
Quicker than he looks, sturdy, with amazing ball handling skills and comfortably over NBA average passing game.
Defensively commited but yet too aggressive.... he needs to gain control to avoid fauls.
Hard-noised guy. Never step back from a fight. You can't intimidate him.
A lot of room to improve. Good work ethics.
Besides, he's argentinian.
You're never wrong when you take an argentinian. Guys have competetiviness in the blood.
He needs to get better to become useful and develope some reliable shooting spots.
He might do it in relatively short time.
Time will tell.
Addedit: Now I'm reading your scouting report, @KGdaBom ... I see the scouter who did it watched some games of him, at least.
It doesn't happen so often, trust me.

Watch out for Kings. They just added someone to pair with Fox.

Yep for player that wont show up this season.
Sucks cause Reed or Perry or tyler bey would be at 33 fo the taking. maledon was a good roleplayer in europe league..

I can see Juancho at PF, I see on him great potential, he is a good defender too and can shoot. I hope they keep him in the team.
Absolutely.

I think it was all above the shoulders with Shved. Dude was really talented just didn't have the mentality or on court IQ to put it together. Should have been a good 6th man at least.

Super high potential, but didn't live up to it his one year in college. Late first round excellent to take a shot on him.

This. We are an over the cap team. We have to send out equivalent-ish salary. Unless we sent out like five other guys, moving Johnson is the only thing that makes sense.
Espn lists Johnson as part of trade.
Thanks. There was no way it could work without him.
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
