Ugh
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Meh?
Again, I have no idea. But definitely comes off as a meh.

I like it. I have a friend who watches a lot of college basketball and he loves him, said he is "one of the toughest competitors in the NCAA, carried a top 15 team night after night"

I like this guys game. Watched him some in college. Wasn’t really on my radar here though.

He might be TJ McConnell....Hate the pick, but what do I know. Danny loves smaller pg. Pritchard wasn’t mocked in the first round or even in the 30’s anywhere. Seems to have a low ceiling, prob won’t even beat out Waters.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
A complete waste of a pick. Best case is a backup PG. I question him ever being better than Wanamaker.

Jesus guys, get some Xanax. It’s the 26th pick, give the guy a shot.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
I am not saying he is a bad player but this guy would probably have been available at the 47th pick. Ainge should have traded the 26th pick.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
I do like Payton P, think Offensively he will be as good as we may hope. BUT just feeling that there were better players to pick at 26.. plus bigger needs.
Needs+talent < Pricthard.

There is no prize for coming so close Do something!

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
At 6 foot 1 he is a bit tall for a Danny PG pick.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
That quote by Stevens says it all. They used these picks not on who were the best talents long term, but on guys they thought might fit roles on this year's team. That is almost u equivocally a terrible decision when it comes to roster building.

Re: Welcome to Boston, Payton Pritchard!
1st team all-American and PAC-12 POY but he sucks?
Just admit you haven't watched him play if you think that. 40% 3PT shooter who can come in and run the 2nd unit. Really good backup PG, in the mold of Van Vleet off the bench. Solid pick.
