Feeling like we're being a little hard on Joe with the 49th pick.

Well there's still free agency.

Just get bigs for cheap on the FA market. No need to waste $109M there...

This now looks like a team that can really rack up the regular season wins health permitting and I wouldn't be surprised if we end up the 2 seed if this is the team. It looks deficient for playoff basketball but that's a positive step, IMO.

We are. Excellent move getting someone with that much upside at 49

For the record, we're just goofing on "the promise" I think

Yeah I'm good w/him there. That's the spot to take a chance on a guy with an outlier skill like shooting that we need.

I agree with you, and he is a 49 pick. If he isnt good.... It isnt the end if the world

I would’ve been happy with Joe at 36 so I’m relieved now

I'm fine with both of the picks we made tonight. It's the picks we didn't use that have me upset.

I'm gonna keep beating the drum for MASON JONES until the dream is over. Gotta take a chance on his Hardenesque stats.

Being Arkansas Alumni, I've seen alot of Joe.

Glad he has the opportunity, he got injured last season and tried to play through and it hurt him a bit.

I know people are just looking at last year, but his freshman year was really his best year. Had too much pressure on him this year with him and Mason being the only guys on the team that could score at all.

He is a much better shooter than 34.2% from 3.

Just shows how badly our team **** the bed last year, if all we could get for Butler was Jrich. Really mediocre player: bad shooter and overrated defender. Seth ( and green)will open up so much space for ben, and Embiid( and Toby ). I expect carreer years for all 3, and maybe we can trade Tobias too, for a better fitting player.
Arsenal wrote:The angst is because Josh Richardson was the prize for letting Jimmy freaking Butler go. He was sold to us as a young talent that could do a lot of the things Butler did.

Now we have to dump him and add a pick to get back a bench player. Just more evidence of the total idiocy and incompetence of the last several years.

Tillie might not get drafted due to injuries and his poor athleticism but i think he's NBA level as a bench player

Do you remember Todd Day from Nolan Richardson's Arkansas teams? The "40 minutes of hell" squads?

That's what I think of with Joe. Spotting up for the kickouts.
