I wonder if Morey budges on his Simmons stance if say the Nets are on the verge of acquiring Harden and he gets the call from Houston that says "Give us Simmons or we're shipping him to BKN"

Let's hope they actually call him.

Question, let's say we trade for Lavine. Would you still trade Simmons for Harden afterwards? Say later in the offseason or midseason?

At that point, I’d rather keep Ben. Let that group grow together.

If we are getting Harden, I wouldnt want Lavine that much. I’d rather surround Harden with some guys who can defend.

Makes no sense to trade for both Lavine and Harden.

I guess this makes trading Richardson less of a priority since we actually have the cap flexibility to be able to re-sign him now... though it still makes some sense to move him

People making fun of our trades, wait and see.. Our spacing will be so much better with Seth and Green. Simmons, Harris and Embiid will have carreer years. Jrich and Horford may be better players, but they dont fit our team( horford because jrich sucks ). Our 3 pt will be really good.

We will much improved. And maybe Morey still can make a blockbuster trade.

Upon looking at it

I like the Seth-Jrich deal. Value wise, I think both are equal. But Seth may fill a larger hole than Jrich given how both Ben and Biid benefits from a 40+% 3pt shooter like JJ. Then Seth’s contract is just way better.

For the Al Horford-Green deal, I don’t really give any value to Danny Green. I see him as a washed up player at this point. So we basically gave up a future first to get Al out of our salary cap. But why the rush?

Maybe Al’s value gets worse as season goes with him becoming older? Can we use the cap we free up for a upcoming trade? That 2025 pick could also be a trade chip for a bigger deal.

The way I see it, as of right now, we’re looking to build towards that Heat roster of 2 stars with limited shooting surrounded by a lot of reliable shooters who our two stars can make them be more than what they are.

Milton, Seth and Tobi are or can be elite catch and shoot 3pt shooters.

The question is.. will that be enough?

Right now, the talent downgrade we made created a bigger gap between us and the Celts or Bucks.

Cap wise, its way better.
This roster as of now also looks to have better fit.

But talentwise, it’s banking a lot on Biid and Ben taking next step. We’re trending from a more collective talent built to a unequal talent built.

If Biid and Ben are AD and Bron, I think we can really compete.

But we weren't going to win with that team anyway. At least now we have a slightly clearer way forward, and Maxey.

loving the moves so far, that's what we should have done last season, surrounding our 2 stars with shooters.
The Seth trade is great, I don't see J Rich staying or having to trade him for cheap after this coming season, he did not enjoy playing in Philly, instead we have an elite shooter in Seth for at least 3 years.

Green, Seth, Korky and Milton, if we can get someone like Bertans, would be freaking amazing.

The difference between Morey and Brand is just night and day.

Also looks like good old Ben is gonna be put back into the point guards position...

Since we can use the full MLE now, is that enough for Bertans?

They don't. If you use over the tax MLE, you are hard capped at the apron.
