Re: Welcome to Boston, Yam Madar!
How many PGs - small ones at that - do they need on this team? I know this is probably a stash pick but do you even need more PGs? Take a chance on Paul Reed. He fills a need.

Probably the best pick of the night. At least he looks like he has some upside, and you really don't get great players at 47 very often.

I read he is the most experienced second-round pick playing in a professional league for 2 straight years including Europa League, and won Israel u20 European championship

This is a solid stash for the draft spot, Would have taken reed but I am guessing danny only wanted 2 rookies with an already really young team.

Ranked 34th on KOC’s big board — one spot behind another PG who sounds REALLY GOOD! https://nbadraft.theringer.com/?_ga=2.172872230.445858315.1605715772-1593534255.1605502397

Welcome to staying in Israel for a while and hopefully developing enough to eventually come over.

My kingdom for a stash candidate who's actually willing to stash and develop.
If he doesn't go screw around in China for a year then force his way over after adding nothing to his game, I'll be happy.

If you expect pick 47 to affect whether or not a draft is a disaster...

I don't know about you guys, but he looks really promising to me. He has some White Chocolate to his game, but he's taller and a little bigger than White Chocolate. His shot release looks really smooth and he shoots a soft ball as well.
Stash him for a year or two and bring him over. Looks like he has strong potential. I like the pick.

People bitching about a #47 pick lol
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Agree that it's hard to get upset about a #47 pick, especially given how little room there is on our roster at this point.
That said, let's remember that the most important rationale behind this pick was continuing to justify Austin Ainge's role/salary as overseas scout. Every year we must pick or add a foreign player so that Austin can continue to fly around the world on the Celtics' dime. Then every few years we have to waste a pick throwing away one of Austin's "finds" (see: Vincent Poirier).

Hey. Daniel Theis, Wanamaker, Larkin, have all been rotation pieces.
