With no first round pick, Memphis did well for themselves.

Bey may have been the better pick at 35, but Tillman could become a skilled center with good defensive IQ. He is a little short but has the strength and weight to battle centers. I think we are hoping he becomes our long term bench C who is capable of spot starts depending on matchups and injuries.

I respectfully disagree with “Bey better”, “could become a skilled centre”, and “a little short” statements.

Similar to Clarke, Tillman is already a skilled centre.

He is 6’8 with 7’1 wingspan.

Bey just because of position may have been worth the swing but I'm fine with Tillman. But 6'8 is small for a center and I want to see him function as a skilled center in NBA games before I give him that title though he should get there given what he did at MSU.
