Whats your take on him? Ive never heard of him, but looks like hes older, played for a crappy school, and didn't shoot a very good percentage from 3pt.

I'm not even sure if Rich Cho selected 3 players in the 2nd round his entire tenure as GM. Mitch Kupchak just did that in one night.

The draft is certainly more fun to watch with him in charge.

Purely based on his name I expected him to be a PF - not sure why.

Was quite surprised to just find out he is actually a PG.

Go figure.

The production this team has been getting out of second round picks isn’t just an improvement over what we’ve done in the past pre Mitch, but it’s defying the odds of second round picks making it in the NBA. Cannot say enough about the way this franchise has turned around its ability to draft in the second round and then develop that talent using the G league.

Article below goes move in depth but he's an elite scorer/finisher. Undersized but athletic. He's older and played at a small school so likely overlooked.

He's a steal at 56. Praying we keep him.

We didn’t pick any players I wanted but I’m happy with this draft. We picked up plenty of intriguing prospects

This was one of the best drafts for a rebuild that I've ever seen. If things go as planned, we'll be adding another top pick next season.

I am hoping that we pick up Josh Hall as an undrafted FA

Kid played at Moravian Prep on Hickory, NC which is 45 minutes from Charlotte. He was going to go to NC State, but decided to enter the draft. Kid is very talented, and potentially 1st round pick had he gone to NC State.

Undrafteds to consider: Diakite (really like his defensive ability and potential), Whitney (KY) and Trent Forest (Florida State). All three for some serious defensive potential. Forest might be the best of them. Yurtseven, formerly of NC State(?) intrigues, but is so much a plodder. Josh Hall would be a dart board developmental prospect. Just what the G-league was made for.

Would love to pick up Hall and send him to Greensboro. Diakite and Forest would be great too.

We've drafted 7 guys in the second round in Mitch's 3 drafts, and that doesn't include Caleb Martin. What a dramatic change from when MJ forced Cho to sell our 2nd round picks.

Kupchak has discovered that there's value in the second round in older players (golly, 23!) who have experience and are ready to play. I love the approach. But the cautionary tale is to not expect too much from second rounders. It's not often a franchise commits to youth and development the way the Hornets have. Yet talent is talent and winning requires it.

I'm far out of the basketball loop, but if I wasn't, I think I'd be very excited about this draft.

3 men enter, one man leaves....
LaMelo mentioned (pre-draft) discussions with his brother and how he could go higher. Then mentioned Lonzo chose 2 because he was drafted 2nd, of course a Terry has 3...
