Biggest need on roster post draft in my mind is backup forwards, especially PF.

Guards- Lamelo, Graham, Rozier, Monk
SF- Bridges, Martin, Martin
PF- PJ, McDaniels
Center- Zeller, Carey, Richards

This assumes Batum is never playing a minute.

I feel like Miles should fill in a good amount of those backup 4 minutes. Maybe something like this:

Graham (36) Ball (12)
Ball (20) Rozier (28)
Miles (20) Martin (24) McDaniels (4)
PJ (24) Miles (16) McDaniels (8)
Zeller/FA Big (24) PJ (8) Carey (16)

Did you forget Monk, or just dont think he'll be in the rotation?

Miles should definitely see minutes at the 4. I’m happy with the twins getting plenty of time at the 2/3

At least, it should be pretty easy to finish at the bottom of the league even against tanking teams desperatly trying to lose against the Hornets like during this half of a season.

I certainly don't share the general optimism with those picks (except Carey, at least he is young enough to become solid). But we will see. Maybe being sure to be the worst defensive team is the plan, while eyeing 2021/22 picks.
I just dont see how to obtain additionnal 1st picks with this roster.

Graham (32) Ball (6) Monk(10)
Ball (12) Rozier (28) Monk(8)
Miles (20) Martin (16) Ball(8)
PJ (24) Miles (10) McDaniels (14)
Zeller/FA Big (24) PJ (8) Carey (16)

Piggy backed off yours but added Monk. I just put people in the position I think they will play on defense. With Monk at PG I think Rozier or Ball handle the playmaking more and he is secondary.

we're adding a veteran back court player as well, otherwise that's a good youth movement.

I agree with you, and this is my concern as well.

This team as it is currently constructed is going to be a disaster on defence. Opposing teams are going to run the score up on us - badly.

So unless we play lights out on offence we are screwed because this team ain’t stopping no one.

This roster needs an entire overhaul with most of the players being shipped out to account for Ball’s weaknesses.

Its not just Ball who can't play defense

And once Zeller inevitably goes down again, we're absolutely screwed. I don't know why Mitch said he wants backcourt help. Our frontline won't even be functionally effective 2 months into a high paced season.

But maybe that's the plan

hopefully Ball spends more time playing with Rozier than Monk.

I see Pistons traded Kennard for the 19th pick. I domt like that trade for them at all. Kennard is going to have a monster year in LA with all those wide open looks hes going to have
