Knicks should draft him at #28 and pair him with Robinson in the frontcourt. They'll block everything at the rim.

Both are foul machines. Easy 25-30 FTA for the opponent.

anthony edwards over/under 1.5 draft position (under 1.5 = #1 pick overall)

i'm betting on the over -130 (for those interested, under is about +108)

looking for an onyeka top 5 prop but can't find one.

you like Edwards over even after yesterday's reports about other teams operating as if Edwards goes to Wolves?

Any promise rumors?

Scoop on the 76ers is the regime pre-Morey (Brand / Rozman &co.) really liked Isaiah Joe and were a contributing factor in him opting back into the draft at the deadline. Not sure if that means #21 or with one of their early 2nds. I've also heard rumblings on Cole Anthony, but nothing as concrete.

He should be a lottery pick. He's going to be all-defense.

Couldn't we get a pick with a higher ceiling? Sell me on him, please. I don't know enough about him to appreciate room for growth on top of what he brings.

He's long, a willing and capable defender 1 through 4, a high volume three point shooter with a good release, and he's pretty decent with the ball in his hands. He's not an explosive athlete, but he knows how to keep his dribble alive deep in the paint, has an ability to back people down and push them off him to get off clean mid-rangers, and he's a capable passer with the ball in his hands who has shown the ability to make some advanced reads. He can play right away in the league and you'd expect him to not make a mess with the ball in his hands late in the shot clock. With some attention to his body to max out his athleticism, you could see him being a solid 3 in the league for a decade and maybe some day taking on occasional ball-handling abilities.

sorry, can't help you. I think his listed 6'8" height isn't close to reality. I wouldn't be surprised if he's sub 6'5" in socks. His release is slow and low. I don't think he'll be a scrub but he won't be much more than the 4th or 5th best player on a championship team imho. Nesmith, Vassell, Woodard, Poku or even Tyler Bey seem more likely than him.

The defensive numbers comparison between Paul Reed and Dewayne Dedmon in their Junior season is eerily close fwiw.

Reed vs. Dedmon

DRB%: 25.9 vs. 26.6
STL%: 3.3 vs. 2.9
BLK%: 9.7 vs. 10.0
DRTG: 88.8 vs. 89.8
DBPM: 4.2 vs. 5.2

Height (w/o): 6'8.5'' vs. 6'10''
Stand. Reach: 9'1.5'' vs. 9'1''
Wingspan: 7'2'' vs. 7'4''

i never liked edwards for minny *shrug*
overall i'm pretty down on him as a t5 prospect. i was predicting him to slide rather than to stay in the t3 rumors

My personal top 10 talents in this draft:
Edwards
Wiseman
Haliburton
Hayes
Okoro
Okongwu
Toppin
Vassell
Bane
Avdija/McDaniels

Sleepers: Tillie, Stanley

I really don't get why many people are high on Ball. What makes people think that he will turn out better than his brother?

If i remember correctly, most people had Mannion, Green and Anthony in the top 10 just a year ago ... i guess a lot can happen in one year.

There have been tons of draft with only one decent/good (all-star) player in the top 3, so if one of Ball/Okongwu/Okoro becomes an all-star, it would be pretty much a "normal" top 3.

Can anyone tell me about Marko Simonović?

It seems like Tankathon just added him this week.

They might know someone is going to draft him, does anyone know about his compotition level?

Poor mans Sabonis if brought over right away but probably stays overseas . underrated offensive skillset
lacks elite measurables and loft so may struggle to defend but has solid frame for adding muscle etc.
good stash pickup late first early 2nd
he is getting drafted too many scrubs will get picked in 2nd round for a prospect of his upside to go UDFA

False. He has an excellent feel for the game and is a way better overall scorer than his brother. His shot will develop.

He already looks great in open competition against NBA players - very much belongs and has for some time. I think he has the best shot to be the top prospect in this draft and agree with Givony there. In terms of elite upside, there are guys who can surpass them, but that will require further development.

Solid athlete but not incredibly fluid with the ball in his hands, low energy level on offense, doesn't really make anyone around him better. He is the epitome of what a modern big man is supposed to look like, but has incredibly poor intangibles on offense. He doesn't elevate anyone around him, despite his decent tools. He was picked where he should have been picked.
