There was a video on YouTube somewhere of Carey straight drilling Wiseman in highschool for what its worth.

Joe is still on the board and we appear to still have pick 56. Thats who I'm hoping for there.

Edit: Never mind, Philly took him at 49. Seems like a great pick for them.

That was in 24 minutes as well. His per 36 numbers are insane.

Had PER (34)higher than Toppin (32.4) and was the second highest Win Shares per 40 mins in college basketball (Toppin was third).

As far as how I view him, think he lacks athleticism, but apparently he has done a great job transforming his body since the end of the year. I don't hate him as an upside play at just 19 years old.

Typically someone who produces at this level their Freshman Season at Duke after being a McDonalds All American (5th rated HS prospect) would be a lottery pick.

I feel like I would've preferred Oturu, but whatever. Let's see what the big **** has

He doesnt jump 50 feet in the air or he would've went 1.

He's also like super bad on defense. Gets blown by all the time and isn't long enough/have the instincts to rim protect. Maybe losing the weight will help with that.

Super bad is a reach, but he did struggle guarding on the perimeter. If he really did shred 30 pounds surely that'll help

Hard to pass on a guy who dominated this much in ACC at such a young age and seems to be taking his craft very serious with losing that much weight. I think he actually could develop into a starting center in a year or 2.

Love the direction of this team.

Did not watch much film on him heading into draft tonight. Just finished watching a 10 min clip and I’m sure I will watch more tomorrow.

Few thoughts
1. Gets off his feet better than expected on both offense and defense blocking shots.

2. Seems coordinated and once he gets the ball he makes quick decisions

3. Duke went to him a lot and in key situations

Surprised he played face-up in high school. Heat were supposed to be high on him.

Hoops intellect NBA comparison for him is a more explosive Zach Randolph and you can really see it in his post moves

He leans into contact more than big Al which is good.

I love the pick. Great upside and skills. If he is dedicated he can improve defensively.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Same and he could easily be starting for us by year 2. Zeller isn’t the long term answer.

It wouldn't shock me if he's starting by the end of the upcoming season. The team has a lot of guys who can pass, they need guys who think to score first and can make it happen. Vernon seems to fit that mold.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
