With Precious here, we got that defensive big we needed.

Now I still want Gallo as the polished offensive weapon.

That's the scoring piece we need!
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

“I haven’t did a lot of scouting, but just talking to my best friend, my brother, Udonis Haslem — the captain over there — we talked about what would the Heat need. And the one thing we talked about was Bam [Adebayo]. He’s taking a beating down there, so to have somebody that can come in and kinda play the same way — he’s a young Bam. Coming in Bam couldn’t shoot early on. He’s real athletic and a great roller to the rim. Great shot-blocker.”

“And then with the Heat’s ability to make sure they put the work in with these players and teach them the NBA game slowly,” Wade added. “This kid could develop into what Bam has now developed into. I love this pick for us because it’s something that we need. It’s something that Bam needs to continue to stay at that All-Star level.”

I can't imagine we'd completely "run it back" without adding anyone. If not Gallo then someone else.

From Barry Jackson's article - https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article247036602.html

Riley wrote:“As we sit right now, we’re significantly under the tax [$45 million]. I don’t foresee us having to go into the tax but you never know what could happen. One contract can take you there. But it better be one to take you into the Finals."

Any guesses on whose contract is on Pat's mind?

Should be noted that Washington worked out Achiuwa and was reportedly high on him.

It's not looking likely that they are willing to move Beal but if something ever materializes, Precious would probably be a piece they'd want.

Broken clock. Clever business by them though

5 Reasons/Clutch is a piece of **** tbf

Everything they "report" gets suggested on here or r/Heat first. Major **** frauds.

Some sure, but not all. They're the only ones that talked about Towns going to ownership to try to get Thibs fired while at a time they were a top 3-4 team in the West. This was revealed while Miami was talking to Minnesota about Butler.

There's tons of leaks out there, of course there's going to be some overlapping.

They have been on top of a lot of things over the years. They do have connections and aren't just guessing on everything. Just recently they were reporting that Harden wanted to be traded to Brooklyn, 76ers or Miami while Woj and others were saying Harden is focused on playing with the Rockets.

I imagine we are looking to still add Gallinari and add another vet big man.

Vet big will likely be Tucker, Baynes or Millsap.

Herro/Dragic/Vincent
Butler/Matthews
Robinson/Iggy/Okpala
Gallinari/Crowder/Precious/UD
Bam/Baynes/Alexander

Feel like this will be what our roster might look like going into next season Baynes slot could be either Millsap or Tucker.

Something Albert floated out there that could make quite a bit of sense for all teams involved.

Gallinari might be leaning to ATL because they can offer more money but would prefer to play for Miami but they can't pay him what he wants without a S&T to Miami. So OKC might do a trade with ATL and Boston so they can then facilitate a S&T with Miami.

Hayward to ATL which means they no longer need Gallinari

Adams to Boston which gives them their C.

OKC get picks and filler from both ATL and Boston.

Then Gallinari is free to S&T to Miami

Sucks. The Gallo deal seems unlikely now that OKC has to move pieces around in order to S&T Gallo.

Lower level signs or possibly a MLE seem more likely.

I never wanted to give Gallo more then a 1 year balloon deal.

We can still trade Kelly/Iggy for Gallo and add a sweetener.

It’s going to be a world of difference on this team bringing off the bench at PF a 6’9 230 chiseled beast in Precious instead of a 6’6 190 beanpole in DJJ.

I'm pretty happy with the draft. Wanted to trade down to 2nd round for Quickley but he jumped to 25 anyways and Precious is too good to pass on at 20 (just hope he's not traded lol). Precious opens our options now in the frontcourt where we can add some offense without worrying about who's gonna help Bam defensively. Gallo would be nice but I'm more interested now in guys like Davis Bertans and Christian Wood who are both younger, less injury prone, and should even be cheaper than Gallo. Then to address our backcourt defense... maybe buy low on Dipo?

Bigs: Bam, Bertans/Wood, Precious
Wings: Yimmy, DRob, Crowder, Iggy
Guards: Dipo, Herro, Gogi

If that's possible cap-wise I'd feel really good with that roster vs any team in the league in a 7 game series

Hagans went to the wolves and Tillie went to Grizz

Still hope we can get Nathan Knight Wesson or Yurtseven
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I’m not upset by this pick but I’m not very optimistic about what precious can do this year. We took best available rather than by need. And he doesn’t have a long offseason to learn and develop.

We still need a true big that can play next to Bam or behind him, and we still need a 3-and-d guard.
