As far as why there are more specialty skill guys than ever? Guys who didn't have a place in this league 10-15 years ago, can shoot their way onto a roster. Korver for example, was an afterthought for years, and it wasn't until Bud used his gravity and made him into a hub of his offense that he really mattered. Korver comes into the league now and he doesn't wait until 31, 32, 33 years old to make a substantial impact. NOW, you've got an UDFA in Duncan Robinson who found his way into Michigan from D3 in Miami. He's not the only gem.

Btw, Korver had far better years before he came to the Bucks - when he was not an afterthought, but he really did have his best years after age 30 because he simply improved as a player. He declined after joining the Bucks, because he got older and slower.
