ouch! I had not seen the update.

He's been one of my favorite players to watch for the longest time, always respected his approach and talent, this sux.

I think Bogdanovic will see a huge offer from Milwaukee. They have to close this. They don't have any other real prospects.

The idea that Bogie would've played for something like 15mil/per in Milwaukee was always laughable. He'd been waiting for his big payday for ages and is clearly at least a 20mil player.

Bogdanovic is twice the player LaVine is.

Wow! Knicks had the funniest PF glut, but it's crazy seeing Thibs let Taj go. They word it like Taj might return on a discount, but why would Taj do that? He should head to California if he's gonna take a pay-cut.

Funny/ironic that Taj and Noah will both be paid to not play by a Thibs Knicks team.

So what does GSW do now? They owe Klay $43m in 2024.

I'm not sure. It looks like he dealt with injuries, but came back. My guess is that the Knicks just didn't think he developed enough to keep him.

What can they do? Do you think they'll rebuild? I don't.

If I'm their GM I'd probably look into a sign and trade for someone like Bogdanovic.

My draft winners:

Grizzlies (incredible value picks + the Tillie pickup), Mavs, Sixers, Spurs and the Hornets (minus the Carey pick). Would love to add the Pistons for drafting Hayes, but trading up to reach for Stewart might be the worst move of the draft for me. It's either that or Jalen Smith at 10.

Generally, l don't understand how we still see so many backup or low-level starter bigs getting drafted in the first round (or early second).

Surely you jest!? He's barely the player Zach is, let alone twice the player....

Elfrid Payton would be a vet distributor. Plays D. Obviously can’t shoot but ok scorer.

With Dotson here, he might be worth a look over Arci, and I love Arci.

Well Curry is untouchable of course , but IMO they should now (definitely) move Green, re-consider the Wiseman draft (trade), and probably start lobbying for an amnesty clause.

Honestly, I'd go for 1 more tank.

You think they should trade Wiseman for a vet? Or for future assets (picks)?

If they trade Green and Wiseman what do you think Curry will say? I imagine he'll want to be traded too.

It's a bit too complicated for me to want to bother thinking about solutions, but all I know is they've got Wiggins, Wiseman and a declining Dray clogging the books.... and besides Dray's experience, neither of these guys really are gonna provide the defense and 3P spacing Kerr would like...

And you've got Gallinari, Bogdanovic, Ingram, Bertans, KCP, Crowder hitting the FA market... (which GSW can S&T for) .. Along with a slew of bargain veteran big men...

It's frankly turned into a dumpster fire really fast, and losing 1/2 of their 3P fire-power on a $40m deadweight salary means they've got to make some difficult decisions. I just think that this team is not going to make the playoffs again. A first-round bounce at best. I'd rather insulate Curry; he's a guy that'll play another 8 years if he doesn't exert himself trying to carry a hopeless offense.

I'd atleast consider adding some shooters to the roster at the expense of Wiseman, Dray or Wiggins. It's just a terrible combination with Klay out the picture.

I'm not sure if I remember exactly how the DPE works, isn't there a 1 year exception that they can apply for? Is it just a % of his salary, (which is huge)

Could that happen in time for free agency?

They also have a huge TPE.

That would be insane.

If they could get Bogdanovic to sign for $17M in year one they could fit him into the Igoudala TE. Send that Minnesota 2021 1st round pick to Sacramento or something.

I'd probably keep that FRP, but they can sure sneak something good out of SAC.

Wow Gordon Hayward must've been extremely unhappy, declining a $34m player option

Yeah, he had a solid bounce back year, but his next yearly deal is probably going to be at about half that. He could have waited a year, hit FA and got the same per year, and extended out an additional year which also would have been better for him most likely. I think in the end, he probably makes about 30M less total dollars in his career by declining.
