It seems like we must feel that we can deal away Randle Quickley.

He probably was drafted a bit higher than slotted, but if the Knicks are sold on him, might as well use 25 to lock him up to a 1st round rookie contract rather than the 2nd round pick contract structure. Especially since the Knicks aren't in a cap crunch.

It's how Coach Cal used him, he's was his best shooter so he used him in that roll. Remember Cal uses his players not to their strengths but to help him win. Remember Quickley was a Passing PG in H.S I think this kid is our steal of the draft. and I love Toppin don't get me started on him, he will electrify the Garden. This Draft gets a A from me both players are high character, not addicted to video games like Knox was and both played at a high level in school. Then Bringing him the NY breed boy I think we are headed I the right direction.
Would love to see a Line up of:
Quickley-PG
Barrett-SG
(We need SF) trade for one or Iggy not high on Knox.
Toppin-PF
Mitch-C

Toppin would be spinning like a literal top trying to create his own shot a la Julius Randle in that situation cause...wow...that may be the worst passing team in NBA history.

Just looking at that starting five makes me ill.

Mitch, Toppin, and RJ doesn’t excite you? That’s a nice young core.

Perhaps but Quickley seems to have much better frame with great wingspan. So much better potential on D side.

Was thinking same thing. It’s a little weird honestly and he seems to be really good kid too so its not a character thing.

Need more playmaking and outside shooting. Just with those three guys alone we would need to have elite playmaking and spacing elsewhere.

it was all about the Kentucky connections. This guy has been linked to Payne since he got here.

check out his finishing stats. it's a marvel he got fouled as much as he did.

if this weren't his achilles heel on offense, he wouldn't have been so overlooked.

so i saw countless videos of this kid, he's going to be an annoying player with his catch and shoot game.

quick release, doesn't really need to square up to get the shot off. he's like eddie house with defense.
LOL Y U MAD THO?

I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being out starting 2 guard this year. Just park his azz in the corner and let RJ and whatever PG we sign find him for open jumpers. Does anyone know how he is as a movement shooter?

Topin can shoot. Also assuming RJ improves his shot considering he hasn’t even played his second season yet.

This guy could be a future 50-40-90. These guys are not easy to find. If he's at least a consistent Wayne Ellington I'm cool with it. Especially at 25.

if you have the time check out this breakdown.

youll see a lot of spot of shots but he seems also good off screens and a solid stepback after faking.

what i really like is his floater game, he has a rly smooth touch. we need to wait and see if he can get these off at the NBA level. he can be more than a 3 and D guy if you ask me. he might need a little time tho

i really like this pick, who rly cares if its at 25 or 33 or whatever.

PS: sorry if the video was posted already, havent checked all pages.
im bout dat action boss
