This is terrible all around for Klay, the team, the FO.

Might eventually create awkward conversations in the future but this season it makes sense to try to compete as planned and throw more money at the team. Hopefully, ownership can financially go along with that.

There is NO WAY you can tank if a healthy Curry and Green are on the roster. This team without Klay is obviously not a title contender but it is also not a bottom feeder. This team will be competing for one of the final three playoff spots (whether one thinks that is a good idea is a different conversation). The TPE expires on Monday so now that they know Klay is out for the year and has suffered the worst injury you can suffer as an athlete and will never be the same they really need to look at life after the Splash brothers. Although Minnesota has improved, they've still missed the playoffs I believe 15/16 years so odds are that the 2021 pick will be a lotto pick in what is supposed to be a much better draft.

Just a terrible year: The Niners choke in the Superbowl, the Dodgers win the World Series in a joke of an MLB season and now Klay is out for the year when many believed the Warriors would be one of the top 4 teams competing for a title. Not to mention everything with the pandemic.

A lot is riding on Steph's durability. If he goes down again we will be tanking.

Not at all is this a possibility. Plus we need to keep Minnesota out of the playoffs.

I'll wait and see what happens with the TPE. Obviously a lot is riding on Steph's durability next season. If he doesn't play atleast 50 games we're probably a lottery team.

No, you load up the roster as best as you can. If we are out of the picture go ahead and trade this years WCS, Burks, GR3 for picks.

The biggest thing I worried about with the vets leaving last year was the team culture, it’s tough to reverse a losing team culture.

If us and the Wolves both miss the playoffs and we get two top 10 picks then so be it. But try to be competitive, you need your players and fans invested and engaged. Basketball board junkies will watch the game but casuals won’t if we are bad and that’s not good going forward.

The only way you tank is if Curry gets hurt. If that were to happen though, the discussion wouldn't just involve tanking. Trading Draymond would then become the prudent thing to do, since he'd be the only tradeable contract likely to net the team anything of value. The team would head into the 2021 draft with two high draft picks and whatever came of trading Draymond. Whatever the case, the team will still have approximately $340 million attached to three immovable contracts over the next four seasons (Klay because he's hurt, Wiggins because he's overpaid and Steph because you can't trade him without alienating the fanbase). This is what happens when you put all your eggs in too few baskets.

I’d like to make the playoffs and battle it out.

Plus we need to make it harder for the Twolves to make the playoffs for their pick. The Suns got much better too. We gotta keep Wolves lottery bound!

No, no tanks.

I'm worried about the Twolves being too bad and the pick not conveying.

Playoffs? I don't see that at all. Defensively they are going to be really bad outside of Josh Okogie.

2021 and especially 2022 draft are highly regarded ..tank? Yes if injuries keep happening..with luck We could end up with Wiggins still in his prime-David Robinson-Older Steph Curry and a superstar wing

We’ll be competing. I fully expect Myers to make another move soon. Someone like Terrance Ross, Daniel House Jnr or even Bogdan Bogdonavic will be targeted. Myers and Lacob have to do something.

As many have said, not if Curry is healthy.

Last year was very different than this year. More injuries, more roster turnover, and a need to try to keep the 1st round pick.

The important part is to not trade picks, gotta find players for free.

I have to question this because I see a lot of people seem to have the view that these picks are untouchable. Isn't the point of having picks to get good players? What difference does it make if we trade those pick(s) for good players now, or wait to use them in the future?

What I would say is I wouldn't move those picks for guys who are too old or rentals, don't use them to temporarily patch holes. They need to be used for very talented, young players, who can contribute now and in the future, which again, is the same thing you'd be using them for in the draft. And if you're trading for existing players, you have the advantage of having seen them play a bit in the NBA, which of course you never get from the draft.

The world has changed for the Warriors. I say if there's young, skilled players available who we want to keep going forward, use those picks if necessary to acquire them. Steph, Klay, and Draymond aren't getting any younger and even with Klay sidelined, right now is the best chance we're going to have for a championship, not 5 years from now.

Picks are assets, but they don't put any points on the board and they don't play defense. But players are also assets, and they actually contribute. What's wrong with using those picks to make our team better now instead of delaying it? **** stockpiling picks, that's what cellar-dwelling teams do.

Drafting Wisseman in it self is a tank move. Idiots wasting Currys years because they cant manage a roster.

I like him but it's unlikely. We can't do a sign and trade for him and we don't have cap space for an offer sheet.
