Did anybody hear this? I came across this tweet

Basically Zach Lowe and Givony discuss that Haliburton told teams not to pick him because he wanted to come to Sacramento?

This can't be true, right? Nobody wants to come to sac :lol:

I've been to Sacto a bunch of times. It's pretty nice there imo. Congrats on a good draft, Kings fans.

well we know the Kings took Bagley over Luka because Bagley was telling the whole world he wanted to be a King (he really just wanted the #2 money). So good to have one of these work in their favor.

If true, I wish the Kings and Haliburton best of luck together.

Atlanta's not exactly hurting with their pick so they're probably in suit yourself mode.

I was torn between the two even with the overlap in positions, but now I'm all the more glad that we picked Vassell. I'd just much rather have a guy who wants to play for us as I think any fan or team would.

Well, im 99.9% sure he wouldnt have bitched if the Mavs took him after trading into the top-10. Dallas/Carlisle is a guard heaven and a playoff team

This would be wanting less money to go to Sacramento. Or it could just be Haliburton being really good at endearing himself to fans of his new team.

Sounds like they will end up playing together. Complimenting skill set. Haliburton plays well off the ball, has SG length, and is a good spot up shooter. It never hurts to have 2 natural play makers.
