I'm surprised folks would want Portis or Harrell. Both are one way players, completely useless on D. The enforcer guy Dal desperatley needs should also be a capable defender.

I'm with you man and while I actually like Harrell, not for us. I'm all in for a big physical type like Aron Baynes though.

Enforcer types are kind of thin on the ground right now, or just not very good at basketball. Let's face it nobody throwing hands in this era anyway, you just want a capable defender who fills the paint and sets hard screens, ideally who can catch a pass with soft hands and maybe step out and hit a 3. Pretty sure that's Baynes.

We've seen previous discussions. Let's consolidate them here.

- Jae Crowder (FA)
- Paul Milsap (FA)
- Thad Young (via trade)
- Kelly Olynyk - known dirty player (PO -FA)
- Jae Crowder (FA)
- Derrick Favors (FA)
- Julius Randle (via trade - will cost a lot)
- Bobby Portis (TO - known dirty player)
- Tristan Thompson (FA)
- Steven Adams (via trade - questionable fit)
- Aron Baynes (FA)
- Alex Len (FA)
- Serge Ibaka (FA)
- Joe Ingles (via trade)
- Marcus Morris (FA - not impossible)

Aaron Baynes is looking good to me if WCS is choosing elsewhere. Okafur is a possibility as well with a good PER if that means anything these days. Not sure about his quickness and D.

I guess James Johnson fills this role now.

I do wish that James Johnson rebounded a little better, or maybe shot the ball better from the FTL. Obviously shooting better from 3 is important too.

He's an underrated passer, shot blocker, finisher, and ball handler though. And again, an expiring contract, so you could combine him with THJ for a legit 3rd star.

Willie Cauley-Stein won't put up with any BS. Had we him in the postseason season I believe he would have confronted Morris. Having him signed forntwonyers will help even more now. But, yes, James Johnson fills that role, too.

Yeah, that's true about WCS.
It makes me wonder if Powell would have done anything though.

I doubt it. Powell and Maxi are just not wired that way.
