It is too soon to give up on Langford and WIlliams, I think Williams is a limited, but he could turn into a good role player. Langford has potential, he was hurt at IU and he was hurt alot of last year. Looking forward to what he looks like with some consistent PT and help.

Go back and check all the picks between 30-40 since the 2010 Draft. You'll see how many good players we missed by not drafting at #30 (head up: irony). As a matter fact, go check all the picks since 2010 in the 20-30 range.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

I'm looking at it now:

In 2010 we took AB at #18. I don't think there is a single player later in the draft that had a better career.
In 2011 we took JJJ over Jimmy Butler. Okay, that's a miss.
In 2012 we took Fab and Sullinger. We missed on Draymond, but there wasn't much else, unless you think Festus Ezeli would have been a difference maker.
In 2013 we took Kelly over Giannis
In 2015 we took Rozier over Harell/Holmes
In 2016 we took Jaylen, who's arguably the best player.
In 2017 we took Tatum. Ainge absolutely nailed this and it was by far the most important pick.

For the last couple of years, the only guy you could really say we missed on was Clarke, and I thought that was an obvious pick, but I think Grant has a chance at having a similar impact in terms of Wins and Losses.
"Danny Ainge needs to shut the **** up and manage his own team. He was the biggest whiner when he was playing, and I know that because I coached against him."

Cooking guys like Dinwiddie, Deandre Hunter, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and others. Deep range and ridiculous handle and craftiness.

So if MEM had sucked as much as usual we might've gotten a chance at Okongwu or Hayes.
If they'd made the playoffs we might've ended up with S. Bey or RJ Hampton.

Overall, I'll take it. Get more future picks, Danny! I needs more 'tracking threads'!

When you put it like that, too bad they didn't make the playoffs.

I want to go on record before the season starts so there's no "Monday Morning QB" cries, if I had seen this while preparing my Big Board and mocks....

I'd have had Deni #1 in this draft. We could only go on what limited information was given to us with this weird COVID year and while I thought he'd be good based on old tape and scouting reports, he looks to be the best prospect from this class imo. I didn't have him higher because I didn't think he had burst and quickness like he shows in this video. To me it means he'll be able to score on all three levels and defend at minimum, an average level.

If teams were seeing this in workouts and decided to draft all of these guys before him it's really a bad look for them.

The Wizards should be considered a playoff team assuming Wall is healthy. Their fans have reason to be excited.

a) love how you conveniently left 2014, 2018, and 2019 off
b) lol at "arguably the best player" in 2016 for Jaylen considering an all NBA player was taken after him as was Murray and Sabonis
c) took Olynyk over Giannis AND Gobert
d) 2012 "there wasn't much else" except you conveniently missed Kris Middleton
e) took JJJ over Bogdonovic and Bertans as well

too funny, the lengths Danny apologist will go to defend the indefensible

Who do you think is the best drafting gm in the league? I'll do the same exact thing for them and make them look like an idiot. You can do it for anyone. Danny is a pretty good drafter that had a couple of bad years recently (Hunter, Young, Yabu).

Hate to say it but Masai? Guys hit on a lot of late round picks.

I don’t think his offense is going to be a issue, should be able to shoot at a decent clip and distribute. The major concern will be his defense outside of zone, especially when they switch off and he’s forced to guard bigger quicker guys. Oregon played zone all the time, maybe if they go three wing sets....

Just going to say again for posterity that I wish we drafted Oturu. Guy’s going to be a good player in the league.

I think I'd agree. Maybe Denver as well though they got a new GM this year.

Masai with the Raps, I'm just going off of wikipedia so it might miss a draft day trade somewhere. Should also get credit for FVV and Boucher as undrafted. Don't see any picks for 2013 or 2018. Too early to tell for 2019:

2014 - Bruno Caboclo over Clint Capela in the late first and DeAndre Daniels over Nikola Jokic in the second round.

2015 - Delon Wright was a decent pick. Montrez Harrell and Richaun Holmes were really the only solid players taken afterwards.

2016 - Jakob Pöltl over Domantas Sabonis and Levert. Siakam was a great pick, Brogdon is the only comparable player who went after.

2017 - OG Anunoby, good pick. Kuzma and Dillon Brooks are the only two after him that are any good.

If you go back to his time at Denver you could dig up some stuff like Faried over Butler as well. Funnily enough looking at Denver they traded away the picks for both Gobert and Mitchell on draft night. Masai also seems to trade away all his seconds other than 2014 so less complete busts.
