How long until we see the "_____ had Hands graded as a 1st rounder on their board" reports?

He's the new Jordan Bone. Well actually, Hands (56) went 1 pick before Bone (57) did. So upgrade baby :D

My only issue is the amount. But I hear you. It’s also watching people go from arguing “what’s the point in adding ANY 2nd” to “wtf?!? We traded 2nds?” in about 2-3 weeks

Moving trade assets is always a gamble. But that's what rebuilding teams do, gamble and trade. And if there is one thing Weaver has shown thus far, he's not afraid to trade and move picks around. If every little move is scrutinized in a bubble, this is going to be a very long and draining rebuild for some fans.

Then during the drafts that those picks are conveyed, the prevailing sentiment will be "i wish we still had our 2nd, ______ is still on the board."

There's a big difference between a pick that is 55+ and a pick from 33-45.

How do you know where future seconds are going to land? :-?

I don't actually see that much of a difference for a trade that includes three seconds rounders, one second rounder, or none. They're for sale for a reason.

I do think you can look at the individual moves that Weaver has made with a critical eye and judge them poorly, especially on their own merit. What matters though is what happens on the court. He has not traded away next year's first round pick knowing that we will be tanking hard. He has not accepted long term salary. He deserves some space to make the roster otherwise.

Right now, he has my interest.

Because Toronto is likely to be similarly good as last year and it's unlikely that the Pistons are a top 5 team in 2022?

I’m a little upset about this addition. I was extremely excited for Jaylen to be a backup or 3rd string on the Nets next season and seasons to come. He just added 20 pounds of muscle this off-season, he’s extremely athletic but too skinny. He’s been developing nicely under our G-League Long Island team. He’s been working out with KD a lot as well.

I’d say his ceiling in the league is a very athletic playmaking backup with a very good chance to be a fringe starter if developed correctly in the right culture. Unfortunately, we couldn’t wait to develop him with Chris Chiozza, Tyler Johnson, Joe Harris expected back. Too many guards.

Former 5 star recruit, solid 6'3" PG with potential but needed to add weight/muscle. I'm interested in him much more than Saben Lee. I actually wouldn't mind bringing in a PG coach just to work with Killian, Jaylen and Saben and see what pans out. How's his off ball shooting?

I like the news about Hands being included in the trade. He could end up as the backup PG when Rose gets traded. Good to see he's getting stronger.

Second rounders are always available for cash.

The price paid for Bey looks steep, though. Hope he'll be worth. I like him so much, hope he'll thrive and make doubters forget about the 2nd rounders we gave away.

Second rounders can be had pretty easily. Troy Weaver is gutting the hell out of this thing and it’s beautiful.

Jaylen seems to have decent skills on offense. How good is his defense?

After the Bruce Brown trade was first announced:

"This is a good trade, we got a 2nd rounder for Brown. Even if its a late one, a 2nd rounder is still an asset."

After the announcement that Detroit is sending out FOUR 2nds that were previously not reported in the expanded Kennard/Brown trade:

"Meh, 2nds don't really matter."
