He hasn't have a contract so his value is pretty bad. Maybe a second or a marginal player.

I think they will give Okogie a run at the PF. Also Vanderbilt will get some minutes. He could be good or not, but he is a freak athlete who can really rebound and run the floor. He was a 5 star recruit (like Jaden McDaniels) coming out of high school and end up playing 14 games in college due injuries. Juancho would be there for his shooting. Wolves have nice one-way looks but need someone who can do both at high level.

Defense aside..having a bully at pf like Randle and SG/SF like Edwards who can attack the rim at will is a dangerous weapon to have, with 3 other guys who can shoot 3s. Dlo+Towns+MLE? Plus rebounding is part of defense. Towns+Randle together would be avg 20+ rebs a game. We can get some veteran bench players who are designated defenders.

Okogie barely has the size for SF and is mainly a 6'4 guard, what makes you think they will give him of all people a run at PF?


Only small ball PF we gonna be experimenting with is Kelan Martin most likely (if we keep him).

I'd imagine AB would go either to a contender or warm weather city, or maybe the most money. In other words I doubt Wolves are on his radar. Unless he's dying to play with Rubio again.

If they can get players to sign that aren't already scooped up by the top 6 teams hording everyone they can legally add. Wolves might have to do it the unconventional way. From internally and giving players shots that they usually don't respect enough. How do you think the Heat found out an undrafted second year Duncan Robinson could carry them with shooting? They played him.

I'd be looking to bring Bjelica back to the Wolves. Something like Layman+Spellman for Bjelly would help stabilize the PF position. I think Layman is going to have trouble getting minutes at SF with Culver, Edwards, and Okogie all needing playing time. Moving Layman for a legitimate starting caliber PF that fits the Wolves system could be a good and fairly cheap move.

It sounds a bit like the Jimmy Butler situation, though I don't expect Harden to be quite as big a jerk as Butler was.

Layman proved last year we were a better team with him on the court ... just needs to stay healthy. I’d add Bjelica, but I personally would not trade Layman to do it.
